Children in Falcons has been learning about sustainability. They have been learning about how to be kind to earth. They created an earth using tissue paper and then labelled it.

From learners to digital architects!
Year 5 explored online safety through our Tech She Can workshop, designing their own safe virtual worlds and sharing brilliant ideas about how to stay safe online. From privacy settings to safe search, they showed fantastic knowledge and creativity!
We also had a visit from Ralph Thoresby - getting the children excited about Science and supporting primary to secondary school links. The children loved making the rockets and testing out their designs.

This week in Science we went for a leaf hunt around our school grounds. We identified every green and deciduous trees as well as looking closely at the leaf shapes to identify the name of the tree. Great work Year 1!

Reception’s Visit to Hesketh Farm 2026.🌟 The Reception children had a wonderful time this week visiting Hesketh Farm. The Robins 1 children started off the day with an amazing tractor ride around the fields. We then made milk for the calves and fed them, which the children were very excited about. We loved playing in the huge outdoor area, collecting eggs and holding chicks and guinea pigs. We had a fantastic time! 🐷🐴🐔🐰🌾👩‍🌾🧑‍🌾

Year 2 have begun learning about Kenya. They have been gathering information about the country and using it to create a fact file. Sparrows have enjoyed finding out new facts and learning about a different part of the world.

In the Science lesson, the children painted their own plant pots and planted the seeds after.

Nursery Ladybirds Class 🐞 This week the children have started to learn about how to keep our bodies healthy. We have discussed with the children which foods are healthy or unhealthy. The children explore using healthy foods to create their own paintings. Also, the children have learnt about their different body parts 🍎🍓🍊
