Part 1.

Earlier this year, we introduced our Theatre Company students to the brilliant . Written by the one and only 💖

Last night, on our first session back after the summer break, we revisited some of the highlights from the Nine to Five section of our 2026 Summer Show.

There really was nobody quite like Dolly. A phenomenal songwriter, performer, actress, storyteller and someone who spent decades giving back and inspiring others.

What better way to start a new academy year than with a little bit of Dolly magic? 💕🎭

We are still urgently searching for a baby to help fulfil this TV role.

The most important requirement is that the baby was born approximately 5–6 weeks prematurely. This is absolutely essential for the storyline so please only get in touch if this applies.

Ideal criteria:
👶 Born around week commencing 22nd June 2026
👶 Approximately 5–6 weeks premature
👶 Living within 30 minutes of Leeds
👶 Twins are very welcome
👶 Boy preferred but all genders will be considered

🎭 IT’S BACK… AND IT’S GOING TO BE OUR BIGGEST ONE YET! 🎭

Our Show in a Week Summer School returns for its 7th consecutive year and we honestly can’t wait! 🌟

Every year it’s one of the highlights of our calendar, with an incredible week full of acting, singing, dancing, games, new friendships and of course, putting together an amazing show in just five days! 🎤✨

We’re already welcoming lots of bookings from our current LB students but we’d absolutely love to see some new faces joining us this summer too. Whether you’ve never stepped on stage before or already love performing, everyone is welcome!

We have been approached by a television casting team who are looking for a male toddler aged approximately 2–2.5 years for a featured television production filming in Leeds.

The child they are seeking is:
- Male
- Aged between 2 and 2½ years old
- Of Black & White mixed-race appearance
- Slim/petite build
- Dark brown hair
- Large dark eyes

Potential filming dates:
- 7th July
- 14th July
- 15th July

Please note that a similar appearance is important, as this role requires the child to match an existing character.
