The 100 languages of learning explored last week during our whale project. It’s never just about the whale, it’s about colour, size, language, measuring and curiosity.

In the honeybees room we have created a home for the snails we have found! We layers their new home with moss, leaves and soil and added water and food for them to eat.
The children are really enjoying watching the snails and expanding their knowledge!

Sometimes in quiet moments of focus, our job is to not interject with questions- we might just interrupt their flow of thoughts.
In these moment we observe and document, so we can see what it is they’re really interested in. Afterwards we can then reflect with them and provide more resources for play and research to build on their knowledge.

This week the preschool children enjoyed a trip to the local park! On our walk, we searched for signs of spring and the children were spotting street signs and discussing their meaning!

The children in honeybees have been learning about how plants grow. They have been doing this by turning soil ready for the seeds to grow, and discussing what plants need to keep them healthy.
