Shoutout to one of our competition team and also junior member of staff, Jack!👊

He will be travelling to Estonia next week with British Taekwondo to take part in a 4 day training camp alongside a number of international teams!🥋

He will be put through his paces and probably get a few bumps and bruises along the way but it's all part of the sport and we're sure he will have an amazing time and gain plenty of knowledge and experience from the trip! 💪

Best of luck Jack! Have a great time and enjoy every minute of it! 🙌🏆

The one habit that makes the biggest difference at Warrior Factory Leeds. 🥋

"Show up even when you don't feel like it."

Every martial artist has had those days. Tired after work, kids have been a handful, the sofa looks very appealing. There are all sorts of possible reasons to skip training.

And then they go anyway and they leave feeling a hundred times better than when they arrived. We have heard plenty of times when members were tempted to skip training and then ended up having one of their favourite or most memorable sessions.

The students who progress fastest are almost never the most naturally talented ones. They are the ones who just keep turning up. In a good week. In a hard week. When they're flying and when they're struggling.

That consistency builds something that talent alone never can.

The mats and coaches will be here. The question is whether you will.

Everybody who walks through our door is at a different stage. A different confidence level. A different background. A different set of challenges they are working through.

Every single one of them gets the same thing from us.

Patient coaching. Genuine encouragement. A space where they are valued whilst being supported to become even more.

We don't shout. We don't compare students to each other. We don't let anyone feel left behind.

We believe everybody goes on their martial arts journey at their own pace, we just give them the tools and coaching to support them on that journey!

First 2 classes are completely FREE. Come and see it for yourself. 👊

Four things martial arts teaches children that are harder to teach anywhere else. 🥋

1. How to lose without losing their composure
In sport and in life, how you handle defeat matters more than the defeat itself. Martial arts creates dozens of opportunities to practise this in a safe, supported environment.

2. How to respect someone who is better than them
On the mat you regularly work with people who are more advanced. Learning to admire that rather than resent it is a skill that transfers directly into friendships, classrooms and workplaces.

3. How to be genuinely kind to someone who is less advanced
More experienced students are expected to support newer ones. That responsibility builds empathy in a way very few activities can replicate.

4. How to be present
Every class requires focus and attention. No daydreaming. No distractions. Just focus on what is in front of you. That is one of the most valuable habits a child can develop.

All of this from age 3 at Warrior Factory Leeds. First 2 sessions FREE. 👊

From knowing absolutely nothing to standing in front of a room wearing a black belt. 🥋🖤

Every black belt at Warrior Factory was once a complete beginner. Nervous. No idea what they were doing. Probably wondering what on earth they had signed up for.

Session after session. Belt after belt. Grading after grading. They got knocked down, they got back up, they learned, they improved and one day they stood in front of their club and earned their very own black belt!

That's not luck. That's not natural talent. That is just showing up and refusing to quit.

Every single person reading this right now could do exactly the same thing. The only difference between you and a black belt is time and commitment.

Both of those are completely within your control.

First 2 classes are completely FREE. All ages. No experience needed.

Your black belt journey starts with one message today!👊

What does respect mean to you?

In martial arts, respect is not just a rule. It is woven into every part of what we do. The bow when you enter. The way you treat your training partner. The way you receive feedback from your coach. The way you behave whether you win or lose.

But respect is not just a martial arts thing. It is a life thing and it is one of the most important values we try to instill in every student at Warrior Factory, from the youngest Little Dragon to our most senior adult members.

We would love to know what respect means to you and your family. Drop it in the comments. 👇

A note for parents who worry their child is not sporty enough for martial arts. 🥋

Martial arts is not like football or rugby or athletics. There are no team selections. Nobody gets dropped. Nobody sits on the bench because they are not as fast as the others.

Every child progresses at their own pace and is measured against their own previous performance, not anyone else's.

Some of the most remarkable transformations we have seen at Warrior Factory have been in children who were told they were not sporty. Children who had been left out of teams, picked last in PE or simply never found the thing that clicked for them.

Martial arts clicked.

If your child has had that experience, bring them along. We have a feeling this might be different.

Did you know the word we use for instructor in Taekwondo isn't actually teacher? 🥋🧠

In Korean, the term is Sabumnim.

Sa means master or one of high skill. Bum means model or example. Nim is a term of deep respect, similar to an honorific title.

Put it together and Sabumnim means something closer to "a respected master who leads by example." Not someone who simply passes on information, but someone whose conduct, values and character are worth following.

That distinction matters enormously in Taekwondo.

Being a Sabumnim is not just about knowing more techniques than your students. It is about being the kind of person whose behaviour on and off the mat is worth modelling.

At Warrior Factory every coach takes that responsibility seriously because the students are always watching and not just the kicks.

First 2 classes are completely FREE. Come and meet them. 👊
