It has been great to see that over the last few months many FMs have taken advantage of the time working from home to start, and in many cases, complete both IWFM qualifications and others such as IOSH and NeBOSH.

Many FMs have posted pictures of their well-deserved certificates and should be justifiably proud of their achievement. Now that we are beginning to return to some kind of ‘new normal’ and FMs are increasingly busy getting workplaces ready for re-occupation, the thought of taking on another commitment such as enrolling on to an IWFM Facilities Management course may feel like just a step too far.

Nevertheless, we must still remember that Continual Professional Development is important if we are to function efficiently and effectively in our roles. The benefits of achieving a qualification cannot be underestimated both for your organisation in terms of how it can change the way you work and for your own personal development and self-esteem. If the full Diploma course seems too much to take on at this time, why not look at completing an IWFM course in bite-sized chunks. Start with an Award and then, over time build up to the Certificate and then the Diploma. If you would like to discuss the options we are here, ready and waiting to help.

Ok so Covid-19 has had a serious impact on the recruitment and employment landscape ..... BUT ..... it’s encouraging to know that 57% of employers think they’ll be back to pre-covid hiring levels by April and 75% think they will at least retain their current staffing levels. It’s not all doom and gloom! What do you think?
