As the academic year draws to a close, we’re reflecting on a cohort we’re incredibly proud of.

This September, our 2026 trainees will begin their careers as Early Career Teachers across schools and communities they know well.

Over the past year, they’ve developed the habits, knowledge and professional judgement needed to make a difference from day one—through deliberate practice, expert coaching and the support of exceptional mentors.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our next cohort of trainee teachers as they attend their orientation days this week!

Starting the journey into teaching is a huge milestone, and these first few days are all about settling in, meeting mentors, and connecting with fellow trainees who will be sharing this incredible adventure. The energy, passion, and enthusiasm in the room have been absolutely infectious.

As our trainees officially complete their journey with us and head into their own classrooms, we love reflecting on their passion, dedication, and vision for the future of education.

What a fantastic way to end our Teaching Internship Programme! 🎉

Today, we were delighted to welcome the Department for Education to talk to our interns about the different routes into teaching and the exciting opportunities available as they take their next steps.

We also heard from BLP colleagues at a range of career stages who shared their journeys into teaching, reflections on teacher training, and the rewards and challenges of life in the classroom. Their honesty, insight and enthusiasm were invaluable for our interns as they consider a future in education.

Over the past three weeks, our interns have immersed themselves in school life, worked alongside expert teachers, and explored what it means to make a difference to young people every day.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the programme and shared their experiences today. We’ve loved having our interns with us and look forward to seeing where their journeys take them next. 🍎📚
