🌹Rose week for our youngest children👶

✨Our senses were ignited in our Baby Suite during Rose week 💜

🎶We sang Ring-a-ring-a-roses, explored the silky texture of the rose petals, the cold sensation of the ice and used various tools including flowers to make marks in paint and gloop 🪷

Rose week had our children in Explorer Suite very busy!

🔢We enjoyed a number hunt in the garden, matching numerals and attempting to form these ourselves!

🎨We independently created our own Roses whilst learning the names of parts of the plant

🪷Our children enjoyed adding leaves and petals to the water tray, and examining these to find the ones that looked like our Roses; talking about size, texture and colour

🥀Our children in Explorer Suite amazed us with their resilience when manipulating clay and playdough to create their very own Rose and enjoyed talking about the changes to the colour and texture of clay when it was wet & when it dried.

🐌Snail Week! 🐌

Snail week was a slimey one!

📖Our children at Sweet Peas had an activity packed week whilst learning about how snails move, talking about the contrast of textures on a snail's body and shell & of course...it was going to be topped off with lots of activities based around one of our nursery favourites - The Snail and The Whale. 📖

💚Charlotte had some snails visit her garden and brought them to nursey for a few days so we could talk about where their natural habitat would be, what they eat and observe how they move 🍃

🌈Rainbows!🌈

Rainbow week brought lots of exploring through colour!

🎨 Children in all Suites loved experimenting with colours whilst developing lifelong skills 🎨

👶Children in Baby Suite explored new textures and vocabulary, they engaged so well when developing their hand to eye co-ordination and building towers!

📝Across nursery we made lots of large rainbow shape movements and manipulated playdough to strengthen our fingers for those key writing skills 📝

🌳 Our new outdoor play area for our Baby Suite & Discoverer Suite children is almost complete! 🤩

Over the previous few weeks we have started to move into our new purposely designed outdoor space for our children under 2.

👶🏼We've been able to create an even safer space for our youngest children to explore and enjoy the fresh air each day 🍃
📖 Children have enjoyed sharing stories, rhymes and been creative in a calmer space, purposefully designed for their needs
🚲We have been practising our balancing and developing our large motor skills with lots of cheering along the way! 🥇

⭐We still have more resources to arrive and finishing touches to make to enhance our wonderful space and outdoor experiences even further ⭐

🌞Our Spring - Summer menu is here!🌞

👩‍🍳Our fabulous catering team have outdone themselves once again with the most delicious 4 week rolling menu for Spring/Summer 2026

🍽 Here is a small sample of some of the delicious meals our children will be enjoying in the coming months - all home cooked, nutritionally balanced an designed with the health and wellbeing of children in mind 🍽

🐮Our youngest Babies enjoying our Baby Animal Week! 🐶

Our babies were full of curiosity as created farms to explore including grass, mud and hay, using our hands to feel the different textures and developing our fine motor skills 💜

🎨As we practiced our early mark making skills we learnt the names for animals as they made colourful marks on the paper.

📖We have focused on a range of nursery rhymes this week, including Old McDonald, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and 5 Little Ducks and lots of books with animal names and pictures in!📖

🐛Baby Suite loved having an exciting visit from our caterpillars - they were very interested in them, watching closely and pointing! We are looking forward to watch them as they grow 🦋
