Dear families,
A parent has shared with us that the circus is doing a SEN / quiet performance on Thursday 23rd October.

Today we hosted a Deaf Friends event and welcomed staff and children from across West Leeds along with our Hearing Impairment teacher, Jo.

It was an afternoon of making friends, activities as well as juice and treats.

We would like to share some of the autumnal signs we learnt today. 🍂

The Harvest table is starting to fill up, there are still 3 days left to bring in any donations.

Children can place these on the table as they enter on a morning or at the end of the day.

Good luck to our very own Mr Minett who is running his fifth marathon today. This is part of his challenge to raise money for Bowel Cancer Uk in loving memory of our dearest Mrs Sunderland.

Mr Minett has ran 5 marathons in 12 months and we are so proud of his incredible achievement.

Year 6 enjoyed their afternoon spent with local Leeds author Tom Palmer.

It was a bright day yesterday welcoming everyone in their happy colours to recognise Mental Health Awareness Day.

From dancing to ‘happy‘ to taking part in activities in class to think about how we can understand our emotions better to help ourselves and others.

Well done to everyone for their contributions and a thank you to Mrs Weldon for organising such a lovely day!

Next week is World Mental Health Day and we have been busy planning how we can recognise and raise awareness of the importance of caring for our mental health.
