Yesterday, 7 of our Year 12 students had the opportunity to take a tour around the brand-new Roundhay Festival site. We were able to walk through the entire arena, seeing the set-up of the stages, even being able to go underneath the main stage to see the 'Underworld', which is where the production team control all that happens on stage. From the entrances to where the bands go on and off stage, the events coordinator explained every aspect of the Festival and why they were organised that way, up to the point when our students could visit the VIP area and the facilities available there. The leaders and coordinators helped our group's understanding of the Festival, answering all questions from students and teachers alike throughout the tour.
