SUMMER 2026: THANK YOU

We were completely taken aback by just how popular Art Camp became this summer. To every parent who trusted us and every child who joined us, thank you. Without you, Art Camp is nothing.

We know that, on a small number of occasions, changes meant the advertised timetable didn’t completely match what happened on the day. We understand that families book because children are excited about particular activities.

For our future camps, we will strengthen our contingency plans and communicate unavoidable programme changes more clearly. We never want to disappoint the children, and this is something we are committed to improving.

Overall, it was an incredibly successful summer and the children were amazing.

I would like to thank every member of the Art Camp team who gave 100% and helped everything run so successfully across all our sites. Our new support staff and highly experienced teaching assistants worked brilliantly alongside our established team. Our visiting artists also brought fresh ideas and some fantastic workshops.

We introduced smoother registration processes, with considerably shorter queues at the beginning of the day. There will always be things we can improve, but I am incredibly proud of what the team achieved.

It has taken me until now to recover and properly reflect. I put everything I had into this summer and, by the final day, I was completely exhausted. But I also felt incredibly proud and humbled that together we had created something so special.

There is an Art Camp energy that you simply don’t find anywhere else. It comes from the children, artists and staff. It’s in the creativity, chaos, laughter and freedom to make something extraordinary. The children love it, and so do we.

Now we are looking forward to October.

We will be returning to Bracken Edge Primary School for our October Art Camp. Children can come back to see the goats and hens, spend time with Ravi and the team, and enjoy another exciting programme of creative activities.

THE VERY LAST WEEK OF ART CAMP SUMMER 2026!

Wow. What a summer!

Before we tell you about our final week at Willow Tree and Bracken Edge, we just want to say a massive THANK YOU to every family who has joined us.

We’ve welcomed hundreds of children through the doors at St Robert’s, St Paul’s, St Mary’s, Brackenfield, Willow Tree and Bracken Edge, and it has honestly been an absolute pleasure.

St Mary’s was ridiculous! Sold out day after day. Brackenfield was another incredible success, selling out every single day. Harrogate, you’ve been amazing!

St Paul’s had a brilliant summer, Willow Tree has become another fantastic Harrogate home for us, and the resounding superstar probably has to be Bracken Edge – although Brackenfield is snapping very closely at its heels. The battle of the two Brackens!

More than anything, we’ve loved meeting your children. So many familiar faces, new friendships and HUGE characters who have made us laugh and smile all summer.

It’s been a privilege watching them create, perform, make films, paint, build, design, play and occasionally get completely covered in paint!

And somehow...

At Bracken Edge we’ve got Junkyard Theatre, Space Station Story Lab, Collaborative Mural Studio, Movie Makers, Colour Explosion Painting, Circus Skills & Giant Bubbles, Tie Dye & Festival Fashion, Fashion Design & Catwalk Show, our Big Art Project and ICE CREAM FRIDAY!

Plus loads of outdoor play, games, creativity, friendships and Art Camp madness.

The weather might not be looking particularly summery, but it’s always sunny at Art Camp!

If you need childcare for that difficult final week, or the children just want one last Art Camp adventure before school, we’d love to see them.

A few spaces remain – come and finish summer with us!

And genuinely, thank you for an incredible summer. We’ve absolutely loved it.
