Conor McNamara of Radio 5Live and Dominic McGuinness of TalkSport will be holding a Sport Journalism Masterclass.
The session will take place on the evening (1800 – 2100) of the 4th February 2013 in Manchester and should be a really interesting and valuable class with both presenters bringing considerable experience working for national media outlets and covering the biggest events in world sport.

The event will take place at Leeds Met city campus, on Thursday 29 November 6-7pm. Room TBC.
The JPR Society is open to all students, especially those with an interest in writing, journalism and public relations. The society aims to support members regarding these interests and facilitate a relationship between journalism and public relations students. We are very happy to have Rich come along and share his wisdom with his talk 'How not to be a buzzword-spouting PR clone'. Rich works as an account director at 10 Yetis PR Agency in Gloucester. He started PRexamples.com in January 2012, after writing about Good and Bad PR for a number of years. He also founded light-hearted PR/journalist award scheme The CRAPPs in 2010 on behalf of 10 Yetis. In June 2012, Rich launched blogger-marketer relations tool bloggabase.com with Andy Barr.
Rich has a lot to share and he will include in his talk; how to make yourself more employable, the future of PR and how you fit in, and the bad things about PR and how to avoid them.
