✨ What an incredible Festival! ✨

Our LJC Festival on 14th March was a huge success and one of our biggest attendances yet! We’re super proud of all our amazing students who made the day unforgettable. 🎶🌟

A massive thank you to the parents and carers who bring the students to LJC each week, and to our fantastic tutors who are so committed to supporting and inspiring them.

🎤 Open Mic Success!

A huge well done to everyone who performed at the LJC Open Mic on 28th February. The performances were an excellent demonstration of the creativity and passion at LJC - amazing to see young musicians supporting each other and sharing their music!

We are recruiting for Cover Tutors to join the team on Saturdays!

If you are dedicated and passionate about music education for under 18s, we would love to see an application from you.

We’re looking for tutors who can cover one or more of the following areas:

LJC’s first session of 2026 will be this Saturday 10 January, for Week B.

We can’t wait to see you all again and are looking forward to hearing the amazing music projects we have planned this year 🙌

The LJC Office is about to close for the winter break, but first we wanted to share some of our highlights of 2025!

1. Our festival and open mic performances showcasing the amazing work of our students and tutors

2. Jazz Camp for Girls and Generation Big Band

3. Running our Summer Academy and Summer Music Camp, supporting students into HE and LJC

4. Our LJC Jazz band performing in ArtForms 'Live at the Wardrobe' event

5. Our brand new 'DIY Home Recording' course, led by LJC Tech tutor Luke

6. Our Year 13 students who left us this year, securing fantastic university, conservatoire, and apprenticeship places

7. An LJC student band, Steelers, releasing their EP and embarking on a summer tour

8. Jo and Amelia, two of our Performance + flute students, performing at Karina's celebration event

9. We invited HE Leeds Conservatoire students back to run projects with our students for their Community Music placements

10. Our workshops and work in schools promoting our outreach activities

Leeds Junior Conservatoire is looking for a full-time Administrator to join our friendly and dynamic team, starting in January 2026! 🎵

This position offers hybrid working during the week but requires you to work onsite on Saturday during termtime.
