General information
The School of Law is recognised as one of the leading UK law schools. Our annual intake of around 250 undergraduates means we can offer a broad range of optional modules in a friendly and informal atmosphere. We offer five degree courses, each with a route to 'qualifying law degree' status.

Postgraduates
We offer comprehensive legal training at postgraduate level, alongside successful programmes in criminal justice and criminology. Our school has a cosmopolitan atmosphere, and we attract staff and students from a range of countries. The School of Law fosters and promotes research in all major fields of legal study.
International Students
Our cosmopolitan atmosphere at the School of Law attracts more than a hundred international students every year. Our students come from around the world: South East Asia, Africa, the Gulf, the Indian sub-continent and North America. At present, we have around 165 international undergraduates, sixty-five international taught postgraduates and thirty international research students.
Research
Our national and international research standing represents our excellence. We recognise the growing internationalisation of research agendas in legal, socio-legal, and criminal justice studies. Our School adopted a strategic focus on Global Law and Justice as a unifying theme and a driver for further research development in 2006. We run lively programmes of seminars and colloquia, host visiting scholars and work with policy makers.
