So we do this every year at the clubhouse, the Christmas wish list, when your all stressed and worried about the pressure of Christmas this is what the kids really want 🎄☺️

I wish for socks because of my puppy
I wish for a t-rex toy
I wish my brother would stop being mean to me
I wish for a watch
I wish to see my sister at Christmas
I wish for a shadow high doll
I wish for a surprise from Santa
I wish my sister would stop picking her nose
I wish for my brother to not be mean to me.
I wish for a pair of heelys
I wish for a real life unicorn
I wish for a foot of snow so my brother doesn’t have to go to school
I wish for a new house
I wish to be the boss of my family
I wish to have a rabbit
I wish for a Christmas dinner with my family
I wish for a present
I wish for a bmx
I wish we snuggle up together with my family
I wish for a bulldog
I wish to spend time with my family
I wish for a squishmallow

It’s just a selection that shows that maybe the expectation and stress we put ourselves under isn’t truly what the kiddies want 🎄☺️🥰presence over presents every time

Every year the clubhouse kids bring in donations at Christmas for Boxes of Cheer for families I have met through the uniform bank. Donations of food, treats, chocolates, crackers, socks, small gifts and toiletries have been put in our boxes before. Treats that a lot of us take for granted at Christmas, that are sadly out of reach to some local families. This year we have so many families we could help me and the clubhouse kids are reaching out to you all locally to try and make up some extra Christmas Eve boxes for some of these families. Please if you have anything spare from your own Christmas supplies or are passing the pound shop and want to help do something kind for very local families we are looking for things like fluffy socks, sweets, candy canes, hot chocolate, marshmallows, small gifts, colouirng books and baking sets. Any items you may have that are suitable can be handed to any of the Clubhouse ladies on the school run, or brought along to Clubhouse between 7-9 and 3-6 Monday to Friday or taken to Sharlston Playgroup in the village hall between 930-11.30. It's so nice to be nice and in the true spirit of Christmas the children really do enjoy getting these boxes ready for families, and at the same time realise that not all children are lucky enough to receive treats that we all sometimes take for granted. Honestly if you can help we thank you all so much it really really does make a difference ❤ x

Update.
Please note Clubhouse will operate for critical / key-worker children only from tomorrow Wednesday 6th January until half term break on Friday February 12th (subject to any further government changes).

We will be operating on reduced hours, providing only wraparound care to full time school children through breakfast and after school club.

Only children who have been approved a school place via Crofton Infants School and Crofton Junior School will be able to attend, please do not attend if you have not yet received confirmation from either school of your place.

Breakfast club will operate from 7am daily and After School will close at 6pm.

A separate letter will shortly be sent to families of children on roll who will not be attending as key-workers in regards to January fee’s and retainers.

Since our return in September we have worked extremely hard to keep your children safe and will continue to do so.

These are extremely challenging times for all of us and as always I appreciate all your messages of support and love, please know that if any of you need anything I am always here and will always try my best to help.

Please take care and I look forward to welcoming all my clubhouse kids back very very soon. Love Jill Sarah Casey Amy Connie Jess & Bev

*Important* Both the Juniors and Infants school are closed tomorrow to allow staff to prepare for the opening of critical workers children. It is difficult at such short notice and so late in the evening to make an informed decision on whether we will be able to provide a wrap around service to these children although I am hoping we can. After speaking to the schools in the morning I will be in touch once more. If you are a critical worker who would require childcare throughout the next lockdown please email [email protected] or message my mobile so you may be added to our list. It is extremely hard to amend this list once the bubbles are set by School. Thank you all for your messages of support this evening
