This half term, Hebble Class have started learning about Field to Fork in Geography. The children worked brilliantly in pairs to plant cress and lettuce seeds as part of our learning about where food comes from. 🌱
They carefully prepared the soil, planted their seeds, and discussed what plants need to grow and stay healthy. We are looking forward to watching our cress and lettuce grow over the coming weeks and seeing the results of their hard work! (And maybe even eat them!)🌿Well done, Year 3!

Derwent Class enjoyed a lovely walk to Sutcliffe’s greengrocer in Farsley as part of their DT project. They were very lucky with the weather and had a great time choosing the vegetables they needed after researching and designing their own healthy salads. While the children were there, they also explored old photographs of Farsley and discussed how the town has changed over time as part of their history learning. Well done, Year 2!

Aire Class worked hard all last half term. Each time they impressed adults as a whole class, they earned a marble in the jar. When they filled the jar, they had their class treat. This time, their treat was an ice lolly in the sunshine and a play on the field.

Year 1 have been learning about position and direction. During this lesson, they used the terms 'left' and 'right' to describe the position of objects. The children took turns giving instructions to their partners about where to place the cubes, for example: “Put the orange cube to the right of the yellow cube.” Well done Crimple Class - this is really tricky!
