Gateways School Independent Day School Gateways School is an innovative, highly successful independent school for pupils aged 2 to 18.

We are known for our small class sizes; our average class size is between 14 - 18 pupils which allows our pupils individual attention and focus. There are separate areas of the school for Nursery, Pre-Reception/Reception, Prep School, High School and 6th Form but many of our facilities such as our Performing Arts Centre, sports hall, dance studio and outdoor learning area are shared so all pupils

can benefit. The school is set in its own stunning grounds within the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, located in the small village of Harewood, between Leeds, Harrogate and Wetherby. Our pupil achievements and exam results are excellent; in 2020 70% of all GSCE grades were at grade 7 and above and 79% of all A Levels were awarded at A*/A grade. Yesterday, we welcomed back our Early Years, Upper 3 and Lower 6 pupils. All other year groups have joined us today and it's great to have everyone back at Gateways ready for the new term!
Lower 6 and Upper 3 have already impressed us with their teamwork, creativity and entrepreneurial skills - yesterday they took part in a fun enterprise activity where they worked in their house groups to design and create a brand-new breakfast product. As part of their product launch, each group wowed the judges with imaginative presentations including some prototypes, energetic dance routines and jingles to promote their creations! Well done to everyone involved. 👏👏 Beningbrough 2, were crowned the overall winners.
