It's the South Leeds Music Centre Winter Concert at 10am this Saturday 13th December 2025!

The concert will be free of charge although there will be a raffle taking place.

There will be no lessons taking place this weekend, so come along and enjoy the concert.

In Loving Memory of Ken Silver

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Ken Silver on 6th November 2025. He bravely fought Parkinson’s Disease for many years but dedicated a lifetime to music education in Leeds, leaving a mark on all who had the privilege to work with him.

Ken was the first Head of South Leeds Music Centre, held at Hugh Gaitskill Middle School (as it was then) and his legacy continues today in the centre that we currently operate at Cockburn School. Ken was instrumental in leading several exchange trips with the Blockflöten Orchester in Hannover, Germany and was involved in the 40th Anniversary celebrations at South Leeds Music Centre in 2012.

We are blessed to have been able to work with Ken and our thoughts are with his family at this time.

Applications are being processed over the weekends for the next four weeks.

South Leeds Music Centre's summer concert will this year have a theme of TIME AND SEASONS!

Join us at midday on the 21st June to celebrate the end of our term with a public concert and our 'world famous' raffle.

Enrolments for 2025-26 are now open!

A couple of things:

If you applied last year you DO have to apply again.

All places are first come, first served.

Applications will be processed over the weekends, and confirmation emails will be sent out. Please respond to the confirmation email to secure your place!

The purple 'Kids' classes are aimed at Children under 8, key stage one learners.
