Such an emotional time, back to school tomorrow and I've said goodbye to another Blossom 😭.

Dearest Blossom

I can’t believe the day has finally come! Looking back to when you first came to me at just ten months old, it feels like both a lifetime ago and the blink of an eye.

Being your childminder has been one of the absolute greatest joys. Having a front-row seat to your world—watching you take those first wobbly steps, hearing your very first words, and seeing your incredible personality shine brighter every single day—has been an absolute privilege. I am so deeply proud of every single milestone you’ve reached and the curious, clever, and kind boy you’ve grown into.

That is the true magic of the bond we’ve built: starting school with a heart full of happy memories, absolute confidence, and the security of knowing you are so wonderfully loved. You are more than ready for this next big adventure.

Tomorrow, when you walk through those school doors, hold your head high, smile big, and show everyone what a superstar you are. I will be cheering you on every step of the way.

Thank you for all the laughter, the cuddles, and the brilliant memories.

🎓✨ What a day! ✨🎓

A massive thank you to all of our incredible families and friends who joined us yesterday for the Blossom and Helly Beans graduation party!

We had the best time celebrating all of our amazing children—both those getting ready to take the big step off to school, and everyone else joining in for a long-overdue catch-up. It was truly a day to celebrate our whole community.

🐾 Look who’s paws-itively stole our hearts at Blossoms! 🐱

If you’ve been doing drop-off or pick-up lately, you’ve probably met our favorite new friend—Kevin the Cat! Kevin has become a regular visitor to the Blossoms garden, trotting over every day to greet our families with a friendly purr.

Our little learners have taken such wonderful care of him by ensuring he always has fresh water, healthy treats, and a cozy outdoor bed to rest in. He’s truly become part of the team—he even joins us on our daily nature walks!

Because the children have developed such a lovely interest in Kevin, today’s creative session was all about our favorite furry friend. Every child crafted their very own "Kevin the Cat" to bring home and introduce to their families!

Yesterday, all of the Blossoms went on a wonderful group visit to the park! The children had a beautiful day making the most of the outdoor environment. It was fantastic to watch them take on physical challenges, test out equipment, and try new skills. What stood out most was how brilliantly they supported one another—offering encouraging words, taking turns, and holding hands or lending a helping hand when a friend tried something new or difficult.

Child B was absolutely delighted to welcome back a former Blossom mindee for a special play date visit! It was wonderful to see how quickly they reconnected. Together, they spent the session exploring magnetic tiles, diving into imaginative superhero adventures, and building intricate scenes in the small-world area. They shared resources brilliantly, communicated their ideas enthusiastically, and showed great joy in playing alongside each other again.

Home-Setting Connection
We are passionate about nurturing and maintaining the special friendships formed at our setting, even after children move on. Seeing child B build on these lasting bonds shows just how meaningful these early connections are to their social confidence and emotional well-being.

✨ Exciting News for The Blossom Household! ✨

We officially have a wonderful lady who is our new cleaner! Demi will be doing a full house clean fortnightly for us. She did her second clean today and she is absolutely perfect for our home! 🧼✨

Demi works part-time in a nursery, so she is fully DBS-checked and a total natural around children. We are so thankful for her amazing help and really looking forward to having her support moving forward. 💕

So, if any of the children mention Demi, you know who she is! Her business is called Demi’s Domestic Cleaning.

Today, child B showed great enthusiasm while celebrating the 4th of July through a creative playdough activity. Together, we made "celebration cakes" using red, white, and blue playdough. Child B independently manipulated the dough, flattening and shaping it to form cake bases. He then carefully selected red, white, and blue stars and decorations, placing them intentionally onto his cakes to create patriotic designs.
​We introduced number markers into the play, which sparked a brilliant mathematical conversation. Child B engaged well with the numbers, counting out his decorations and matching them to the markers. We talked about the upcoming afternoon celebration where we will be tasting American treats, which we are very excited about!

​We have a very special holiday guest this week! Meet Teal the tortoise, who is staying with us while his owners (my mum and dad) go on holiday.
​The children have been so excited to take on the responsibility of caring for him. This is such a beautiful experience that ties perfectly into our EYFS learning:

​Understanding the World: Learning about animals, their environments, and what they need to stay healthy.

​Personal, Social & Emotional Development: Practicing being gentle, taking turns, and showing care and concern for living things.

A huge happy birthday to our wonderful son Theo, who turned 8 on Saturday! The Blossoms had the absolute best time celebrating with you. Over the years, all of our amazing Blossoms children and their families truly become a part of our own family, and we love sharing these milestones together. 💖

🥳 Happy 2nd Birthday to our Blossoms! 🎂

​What a truly magical day we’ve had celebrating the joint 2nd birthday of our two wonderful Blossoms! 🎉 The room was filled with so much laughter, music, and joy as all their friends came together to make their day extra special.

​🎈 Active Play & Musical Magic
​To celebrate their love for big movements and rhythm, we had some amazing surprises set up:
​The Bouncy Castle & Ball Pit: A massive hit! The children loved jumping, rolling, and testing their physical skills.

​A Brand New Piano & Microphone: Since both of our birthday stars love music and singing, they took center stage to perform some festive tunes for us all!

​🍰 Party Time, Cake & Sharing
​The celebrations didn't stop there! We all sat down for a delicious birthday party lunch and tea. All of their friends came together to sing a big, loud rendition of Happy Birthday before sharing some yummy cake.
​Special Gifts: Both birthday Blossoms received a personalized present from the whole team.

​Kind Hearts: In return, our sweet Blossoms brought in cupcakes and lovely party bags to share with all their nursery friends. 🧁🎒
​We had the absolute best time celebrating these two incredible toddlers. Seeing their faces light up was the perfect reminder of how fast they are growing!
