πŸ‘ Discover Makaton: A Taster Session for Parents & Carers
Have you ever wondered if Makaton could help your child find their voice? If you aren’t sure whether full training is for you, come along to our Makaton Taster Session!

This short, fun, and interactive session is designed for anyone interested in finding out how Makaton works and deciding if they want to pursue further training. You'll get a general introduction into what Makaton is, who uses it, and the opportunity to learn a few signs and symbols yourself.

What to expect:

A relaxed and friendly introduction to Makaton.

The chance to learn core vocabulary signs and symbols.

Handouts covering everything you've learned to take home.

Lunch provided afterwards with time for questions and connecting with other families.

Meet the Trainer:
We are thrilled to be joined by Alice from Nurture Communication. Alice is a fully qualified teacher and Makaton Tutor with over 12 years of experience in specialist education and communication support.

In Leeds we offer the opportunity for all parents / carers of children aged 5 and under to join a HENRY group. HENRY is a 8 week programme that parents can access either face to face or virtually. HENRY groups are run throughout the week and across the city; with the option of daytime and twilight courses available.
