Well today we had a lovely party for our little ones who are going to big school or Nursery 🥹 big thankyou to Jo Jo for hosting the party !! Its been a great day 😀 very emotional day for me seeing one of my children leaving for big school who as been at the setting since they were 9 months and are soon turning 5!! But will still be attending before and after school!! So can't wait to see her thrive in her next chapter 🥰

This week we have enjoyed reading our lovely new story book " what the ladybird heard" We have been learning about the life cycle of ladybirds.
We visited the park to look for ladybirds and was able to find them and look at them up close through our magnifying glasses.
We also enjoyed recreating the story with our farm animals.

Last week we enjoyed planting our sunflower seeds. We having been learning about the process of how seeds grow and how we can help them to grow. The children have enjoyed watering them and they have started to grow!! So exciting!!

This week we have planted our sunflower seeds 🌻we have been learning the process of the seeds growing into plants. What we need to do to look after them. We also enjoyed a lovely story " Sam plants a sunflower"
We also extended the learning by talking about different fruit and vegetables that grow from a plant, tree or in the ground.
We finished off the week with a visit to the park and looked at the lovely flowers and visited the library to look at books on flowers and plants 🪴 😍
Sunflowers are now growing in greenhouse with our Tomatoes and strawberries xx

All about frogs this week!! (Life cycle of frogs)
Lovely learning opportunities focusing on counting 1-5 , number recognition 1-5 and colours.
Been creative using our imagination with lots of lovely loose parts.
Promoting lots of lovely conversations.
We also enjoyed singing on if our favourite songs " Five speckled frogs"
(Covering all learning and development areas)
