We are delighted to announce that Sunshine Community Nursery has now moved from Harehills Road to our brand new premises at:

Our new setting is a former Children’s Centre, giving us a fantastic opportunity to provide an even better environment for our children to learn, play, and grow 🌈

Some of the amazing benefits of our new nursery include:

⭐ Large, private outdoor areas for each age range with direct access from their rooms
⭐ Private parking for easier drop offs and collections
⭐ A purpose designed environment for children and families

Most importantly, our wonderful Sunshine staffing team remains exactly the same, meaning children will continue with their familiar key workers, friendship groups, and trusted staff members 💛

This is a super exciting new chapter for Sunshine Community Nursery, and we cannot wait to welcome all our current and future families into our beautiful new home!

🌸 Mother’s Day Stay & Play Breakfast at Sunshine🌸

We had such a lovely morning celebrating all of our wonderful mums and special carers at our Mother’s Day Breakfast Stay & Play at Sunshine!

Thank you to everyone who came along to share breakfast, spend time playing with the children, and enjoy the activities together. It was so special to see so many smiles and precious moments being made.

Happy Mother’s Day to all our amazing mums! 💕

Today our little stars shined extra bright as they stepped into the magical world of books! 📚💫 From brave heroes and curious adventurers to magical princesses and fantastic creatures, our children amazed us with their wonderful costumes and big imaginations.

World Book Day reminds us that every book holds a new adventure and every child holds a beautiful story within them. 💛

We are so proud of our confident readers, creative thinkers, and fabulous characters today! 🌟

🇨🇳 Country of the Month: China 🇨🇳

What a fun and busy time our children have had exploring China! They enjoyed painting dragons, colouring lanterns, learning all about the country, and investigating insects with magnifying glasses with lots of excitement… “Oh it’s sooo big, look!” 🐜🔎

Our edible spaghetti and rice tuff tray was a big hit, with children practising using chopsticks 🥢, and they loved tasting spring rolls, veg stir fry and sweet chilli sauce for lunch 😋

The children also dressed up as a dragon and ended the day with lots of fun on the slide! 🐉✨

Such wonderful learning through play, exploration and new experiences 🌏❤️

🎅✨ A very special moment at Sunshine today! The children loved meeting Santa, sharing lots of cuddles, and receiving a surprise gift. So much joy, laughter, and festive cheer all around 🎁❤️🎄

Today we visited the local care home, where the children spent time chatting, playing, and sharing smiles with the elderly residents. 💛 The connections they made were truly special.

We also had a fantastic session with Laura from Debutots, who brought stories, movement and lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. 📚✨

Such a beautiful day filled with learning, laughter and love across generations. 🧡

A Heartfelt Thank You 💖

As many of you know, Giggles Day Nurseries in Gipton, Bramley, and Morley, along with Sunshine Community Nursery and Little Rascals Day Nurseries have been coming together over the past few weeks to raise essential funds for one of our cherished Nursery families.

We are incredibly proud and humbled to announce that, thanks to the overwhelming generosity and kindness of our amazing staff, parents, and children, we have collectively raised an incredible £4,500 to support Georgia and her young family.

From Carnival Days held across all the sites – every effort has truly made a difference. Your compassion and community spirit shine through, and we are so grateful for your support.

Sunshine Community Nursery were invited to visit a local care home, where our little ones spent a lovely afternoon sharing and listening to stories with the residents.

There was laughter, curiosity, and plenty of heartwarming moments as young and old connected in the most meaningful way.
