Discover the secrets of authentic French baguette-making in a fun and hands-on workshop. Whether you're an experienced baker or a complete beginner, you'll leave with new skills and a freshly made baguette to be proud of!

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Let’s celebrate Pride Month ! Do you know about France’s LGBTQ+ recent history and its fight against homophobia? Here is a short summary of key dates to help you understand it more!

1981: France removes homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses.

1982: End of the discrimination that set the age of sexual consent at 15 for heterosexuals and 21 for homosexuals

1999: The Civil Solidarity Pact (PaCS) is passed. This marks the first legal option for same-sex unions in France.

2010: ‘Transsexualism’ is removed from the list of psychiatric conditions. France is a pioneer in this regard.

2013: The law authorising same-sex marriage and adoption

2016: Simplification of procedures for changing first names and gender on civil status records

Authorisation for homosexuals to give blood (but still restricted)

2021: The Bioethics Act extends assisted reproductive technology (ART) to female couples and single women

2022: Ban on ‘conversion therapy’ in France

In November we celebrate the Beaujolais Nouveau!

This wine from the Burgundy region in France is the first wine of the year’s harvest and is in hot demand all around the world. On the 3rd Thursday of November Beaujolais Nouveau is sold, an exception to the traditional date of the 15th of December as the earliest possible date to sell wines from that year’s harvest. This wine fills 55 million bottles per year! Its light flavour is complemented by notes of red fruits and even banana, caused by the carbonic maceration!

En novembre on célèbre le Beaujolais Nouveau !

Ce vin de la région de Bourgogne en France est le premier vin de la récolte de l’année et est très prisé dans le monde entier. Le 3ème jeudi de novembre le Beaujolais Nouveau est vendu, une exception à la date traditionnelle du 15 décembre qui désigne la date limite pour vendre des vins de la récolte de cette année. Ce vin remplit 55 millions de bouteilles par an ! Son goût léger est complétée par des notes de fruits rouges et même de banane, causées par la macération carbonique !
