🇫🇷🎯 Have you ever played pétanque? Come and give it a go! 🇫🇷

Pétanque is a classic French outdoor game where you throw metal balls (boules) as close as possible to a small target ball (le cochonet). It’s easy to learn, fun to play, and perfect for a relaxed afternoon with friends! ☀️

Join us with the Leeds pétanque club on Saturday 12th September for our pétanque tournament — no experience needed!

🕛 from 12:00pm – Arrive, enjoy some nibbles & Ricard, and learn how to play
👥 12:45pm – Teams allocated
🎯 1:00pm – Tournament begins

Bien plus qu'une course cycliste... Le Tour de France est une véritable tradition française ! Chaque été pendant 3 semaines, il traverse des villes et des villages (et même d'autres pays !), des cols mythiques et des paysages spectaculaires.

Le Tour, c'est aussi des exploits sportifs mémorables et des champions qui écrivent l'histoire de la Grande Boucle.

Préparons-nous à vivre l'édition 2026. Qui ramènera le maillot jaune chez lui ?🥇

🇫🇷 Calling all aspiring photographers with a passion for Normandy! 📸

The Alliance Française de Jersey and the Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche are launching a participatory photo exhibition to celebrate the Norman Millennium.

Amateur and aspiring professional photographers are invited to capture sites linked to Norman history in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, Southern Italy, Norway and Denmark, for a chance to be featured in a travelling exhibition in 2027.

🗓️ Submit your photo by 31 October 2026
📷 Send at least one photograph (digital format)
💬 Include a short text (in your language + French + English) explaining the historical link and your perspective
📧 Send your application to [email protected]

🌍 30 photographs will be selected by an international committee and exhibited across partner territories in 2027.
