At Unipol, we have partnered with the universities, Students' Unions, Leeds Property Association, and Leeds City Council to encourage students to sustainably clear out belongings they no longer need when moving out: β€˜Barter it, Bank it, Sort it’. By following these steps, the amount of unwanted belongings left on the streets of Leeds over changeover period should be lessened.

As part of the scheme, additional refuse collections and street cleaning resources have been travelling around the Headingley, Hyde Park and Woodhouse areas to remove anything off the streets that has unfortunately already been dumped.

There is a list of resources such as selling platforms, local donation banks, and guides on how to use bins correctly on our website: https://bit.ly/3Vwcpiq

βœ… We can accept the following:

Unopened tinned food like bean or soup πŸ₯«
Spices/oils (even if it is opened!!) 🫚
Fresh fruit and vegetables πŸ₯•
Unopened bread/bakery products πŸ₯–
Eggs up to a week past their best before date πŸ₯š
