Baby Band music classes offer a fun musical experience for you and your little people. Join us at Baby Band and start your child's musical education today. Baby Band is all about playing real instruments and listening to great examples of music from a huge variety of genres, not just singing along to basic nursery rhymes, although we do love some of the classics. We have a team of live musicians w

ho regularly join us with their various instruments to give our Baby Band members a taste of live music. Classes are available for children from 3 months to when they start school and are bookable all year round, not just term time. See the website for more details

We also have many Baby Band events. A Sunday Social where the whole family can come to a Baby Band class at a fab location, usually involving cake! And, Baby Band Gigs, at the weekend in the afternoon so the whole family can come and enjoy amazing live music just like you used to.

Three weeks properly away from my desk and, weirdly, I'm actually really excited to be sitting back here.

I did keep Baby Band ticking over while we were away (I can't completely switch off apparently), but today feels like I'm properly back.

And there is LOTS happening this autumn.

I'm back into our nursery sessions this week, meeting a potential new Baby Band teacher, Pete and I are off to Ideas Fest, we're planning our franchisee Team Day, our Forest School special is coming up AND I'll be back teaching our York classes from next week.

But probably the biggest thing on my list this autumn is growing Baby Band again.

The festival took up a huge amount of our time and headspace this year, so growing our franchise family took a bit of a back seat. I'm really excited to change that over the next few months.

For now though... clean desk, ridiculous number of tabs open and a very large cup of Yorkshire Tea.

It is actually quite nice to be back.

Yes, our classes are for your little ones. But they’re for you too.

You don’t have to sit through 45 minutes of something that’s great for their development while secretly wondering how long is left.

The music is good. You get involved. You have a laugh. You sing songs you actually know and love. And your little one gets to enjoy it all right there with you.

It’s time in the week where you can just be together and both have a genuinely lovely time.

Turns out building a business also involves periodically revealing far too much about yourself on the internet.

But I really love knowing the people behind the businesses I follow, so it seemed only fair…

Baby Band has grown a LOT since those early days, but I never want it to become a faceless brand. There are real people, big personalities, questionable decisions and a LOT of cups of tea behind it all.

We don't sing endless awful nursery rhymes.
We don't use plastic noisy toy instruments.
And we definitely don't have grown-ups sat on the sidelines.

We use real instruments.
We play incredible music that you will actually love.
And our classes are a room full of big and small people who are genuinely having the best time.
