Happy Business Birthday to Sarah-Lou, absolutely love this caption, sums up what working with Mini First Aid means to our network, what an incredible journey 🥳💚
🎉 8 YEARS IN BUSINESS TODAY! 🎉
I can’t quite believe it’s been 8 years since I started Mini First Aid Newcastle.
What began as a passion to help parents feel calm, confident and prepared in an emergency has become a real part of who I am and what I love. I started Mini First Aid Newcastle when my own little girl was about to turn 1 year old, and I’ve watched her grow alongside me (she got bigger, I got more grey!). We also added another small human to the clan along the way, and not forgetting navigating COVID and all of the challenges that brought!
I’ve taught thousands of parents, grandparents, children - basically anyone who would listen - over the years, and I’ve been welcomed into homes, schools, businesses, community projects, all over Tyne & Wear; it’s been a real privilege.
The journey’s not over yet - more parents than ever join us every single month for our classes and it’s all because of you.
So, thank you to every single person who has come to a class, asked a question, shared kind words, recommended me to a friend, or supported me along the way.
You’re the reason I get to do what I love every single day and I won’t ever take it for granted 💚

A Glasgow teenage hero who saved a child's life at Drumchapel train station has led a successful campaign to install a life-saving defibrillator on the station's platform 👏
15-year-old army cadet Jordan Kerr stepped in when a young child collapsed at the station, administering CPR until emergency services arrived. His calm, decisive actions directly contributed to saving the boy’s life.
And despite widespread media coverage of the incident, rather than seeking personal recognition, Jordan called on ScotRail to install a defibrillator at Drumchapel station to help protect others in the future.

What an incredible weekend at The Baby Show in Birmingham! A huge thank you to our wonderful sponsors, Niraj and the team at Things Happen who made it possible for us to be there to share life-saving information with new parents and parents-to-be.
Several of our franchisees from across the country pitched in to staff the stall, give first-aid demonstrations, and answer questions from hundreds of new and expectant parents. These events always demonstrate the incredible teamwork throughout our network and we couldn't be more proud.
Our sponsor, Things Happen, is there for families when things get tough, which very much aligns with our business aim to support families with education and services that really make a difference 💚 Thank you Niraj and Things Happen for a brilliant, successful weekend.

More than 10 million drivers don’t know how to put someone in the recovery position, and only 56% said they feel confident performing CPR.*
Yet every day, millions of us get behind the wheel, confident we’ve passed the test that says we’re “safe” on the road.
But what happens when you’re first at the scene of a crash?
What’s important before emergency services arrive is not just putting out the hazard lights or warning triangles, it’s the people who may need you to keep them alive or safe from further harm. Would you know how to help someone who isn’t breathing properly? Would you know how to keep them safe?
Passing your driving test proves you can drive but learning first aid proves you can respond when it really matters and now the driving theory test in the UK doesn’t just test your driving, it also tests your ability to save a life.
Learn adult first aid with us and be prepared!
