We’re here to support ✨ Our English sessions run on Mondays and Maths on Wednesdays. ❤️ Face to face 📍 Horsforth. We’re glad you’re here!

The GCSE results are shocking 😔 but behind every statistic is a young person who may now be questioning what they’re capable of 💭.

When so many students don’t achieve a grade 4 in English and maths, the impact goes far beyond their next steps 📚. It can affect their confidence, motivation and belief in themselves as they move forward 🌱.

We know the system needs to change ⚠️. But the reality is, it’s not changing anytime soon ⏳.

So while we continue to advocate for better support and a better system, we’re here for the students in front of us ❤️.

At Horsforth Learning Studio, our goal isn’t simply to help students achieve academically 🎓. It’s to help them understand that one result, one grade or one exam does not define their ability or their future ✨.

We want students to leave us not only with stronger skills, but with stronger self-belief 💪.

Because sometimes the most important thing we can teach a young person is:

“You can do this. You are capable. And this result doesn’t define you.” 🌟

The system may need to do better, but until it does, we’ll keep doing everything we can to make sure our students know they are supported, believed in and capable of more 🤝🌱.

📍 Face to face tutoring in Horsforth

✨ Kim has 23 years of experience, works with primary‑aged and KS3 children, supporting Maths, English, phonics, SATs and entrance exam preparation. She has extensive experience working with children who have SEND and SEMH needs, and building confidence and positive relationships is a central part of her approach.

✨ Rachel
With her extensive experience as a Primary Specialist and Subject Lead, Rachel is an incredible support for our primary students. Her passion, expertise and commitment to high-quality education makes such a positive impact and we can’t wait to see all the amazing work ahead.

✨ Darcy
Her teaching is creative, fun and highly engaging, helping young learners stay motivated while building strong foundations in core skills. With her warm approach and infectious energy, Darcy makes learning feel exciting and accessible, supporting every child to progress, grow and enjoy their learning journey.

We’re incredibly proud of our amazing Science tutors, who bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion to every session.

✨ Meet Mandeep

Mandeep’s career spans 14 years in mainstream education and a further 8 years in Alternative Provision, supporting learners with complex SEN.

She brings a wonderful combination of expertise, patience and fun to her sessions, creating a supportive environment where students can build confidence and enjoy learning Science.

With many years of experience in the classroom, as well as experience as a Head of School, Mandeep has supported hundreds of students through their GCSEs.

✨ Meet Ali

Ali brings years of teaching experience from the private school sector, with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students achieve their potential.

His experience allows him to provide focused, engaging and personalised Science tuition, helping students develop both their subject knowledge and confidence. He has supported hundreds of students in achieving their potential. Many of his students have gone on to study Medicine, Dentistry and Chemistry at university. 🧪🎓

Today marks the first day of the school year and it seems the perfect time to share the exciting news 📚✨ please share 🍎

Our team is growing and we’ve outgrown ‘The Horsforth English Tutor’ 🍎

I’m so excited to share that we’ve now got an amazing team of educators, working together to support students from Reception all the way through to A-level 📚

I left the classroom in April 2025 after feeling frustrated with the system and the inflexibility of traditional teaching. I had a vision of creating a truly inclusive space, where ALL learners believe in their different abilities. 💛

I’ve now had the pleasure of working with some amazing educators with different specialisms: phonics, reading, writing, handwriting, KS1 and 2 Maths, GCSE and A-level Science…

And an amazing SEND expert 💛 to support learners and parents.

We run small group sessions that focus on building confidence, so that students believe in their abilities.
