Today we celebrate the incredible achievement of our SCITT trainee teachers as they graduate and take the next step in their teaching careers. Your hard work, resilience, and dedication have brought you to this milestone, and you should be immensely proud of everything you’ve accomplished.
Throughout your training, you’ve inspired pupils, embraced new challenges, and grown into confident, reflective educators who will make a lasting difference in classrooms and communities. Over the past three weeks, 13 fantastic interns have immersed themselves in life across our trust schools. They attended either The Ruth Gorse Academy, John Smeaton Academy and The Farnley Academy.

What began as an internship quickly became something more, with our interns becoming valued members of each school community. They supported students in lessons, worked alongside experienced teachers, contributed to classroom activities and, in many cases, even took the lead in delivering parts of lessons themselves.

A huge thank you to our interns and the school teams who supported them on this journey. Interested in following in their footsteps? Keep an eye out in the new academic year, when we’ll be opening expressions of interest for our paid Teacher Training Internship Programme. We can’t wait to welcome the next generation of aspiring teachers!
