Laura also serves as Professional Mentor, providing invaluable guidance, encouragement, and support to trainees as they grow in confidence and prepare for their first teaching posts. Her dedication helps ensure that new teachers are equipped to thrive in the profession.

Today’s mentor spotlight shines on Jack from BBG Academy ⭐

Our final music subject knowledge session took us to University of York for an incredible workshop playing authentic Indonesian Gamelan. Such an inspiring experience, and one our trainees are excited to take back into schools with them!

We had an incredible day at Leeds Arts University exploring the art of screen printing and getting hands-on with new creative techniques.
We can’t wait to see these ideas and skills brought to life during placements in this final phase of the course. So proud of everything you have achieved - well done everyone! 👏

Our geography trainees were out and about today making the most of our city centre location! 🌆Throughout today’s geography session, our amazing geography trainees were implementing their fieldwork activities which they have planned collaboratively over the course of the last few weeks. They were investigating how the buildings and spaces throughout the city, influences Leeds’ microclimate as well as the extent to which regeneration throughout the city has impacted positively on noise pollution.
