Our Story

The Yorkshire College of Music and Drama is a small music college, based in the heart of Leeds’ academia. We are also a charitable trust.

Our aim is to use the transformative power of music to enrich and enhance the lives of those in our local communities. We bring people together and ensure music and performing arts are accessible for all in.

We do this through a range of services, which include:


  • A primary schools outreach programme, where we provide musical instruments and qualified tutors to local primary schools to support and enhance their existing music education provision.
