Any children that access 15 hour or 30 hour funding, due to it being half term (Monday 29th October - Friday 9th October) no funding is available. We are still open if you wish to come to nursery, however this will be chargeable at our normal rates.

Happy Wednesday everyone.
Here at Tiny Tree Leeds in the Over 2's room we have been exploring the new floor markings outside. The floor painting encourages us to move our bodies in various ways around the course. We also have a numbered Caterpillar which helps us count and recite numbers in order. We've also been exploring paints in ice blocks and using these coloured ice blocks to mark make with. Have a fantastic Thursday tomorrow and enjoy the rest of your week.

This week in Babies, we have been exploring sound with different musical instruments. We have also used cars to make marks in flour.

Happy Monday everyone.
We hope you've enjoyed the beautiful weather over the weekend again!

Our Toddler's have been enhancing their fine motor skills over the past week by using a variety of toys to help improve hand eye-coordination. They've been building towers and simple structures independently, out of small coloured bricks.
The older Toddler's have began briefly discussing shapes, where as our younger Toddler's have been introduce to colour names.
They have been using lots of concentration to be able to pick up the smaller bricks and move them to different places.

Today in Rising Threes we have been exploring different coloured paints. We have been mixing different colours together and describing what colours we were making, after we had mixed the colour we wanted we decorated a paper plate with our favourite colours.

We really enjoyed this activity and even got our hands messy by mixing colours with our finger, it was so much fun!

This week in Over Two's we've been exploring how to make some yummy food through our baking activity of making scones. We all put aprons on to stay nice and clean as we all mixed the ingredients together. We also used our hands to mix all the ingredients together and explore how it felt.
Please also don't forget to bring your sun hats and make sure we have plenty of sun cream for your child with the weather being very hot.

We have been very lucky with some beautiful weather over the past few weeks. As a result, the Toddler room have been taking lots of trips out to our local park.
They have been looking closely at lots of different wildlife and flowers.

Happy Monday, we hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

Parent Partnership -
We are expecting some very hot weather this week, with highs of 28 degrees.
We would like to remind all parents that your children will need a sun hat to be able to use the garden as the UV ratings are set to be extremely high too.
If your child does not already have a hat at nursery we strongly recommend bringing one in tomorrow so that they can enjoy the sunshine.
As well as this, staff will be applying sun cream regularly to all children to further protect them in the sun.

This week in Over 2's we have been so busy with loads of fun filled activities!
We have been developing our literacy skills by exploring some alphabet spaghetti. We used bowls and spoons to collect all of the magnetic letters and talked about what letter each one was.
We have also been investigating our outdoor environment and using our imagination to pretend we were sliding down the beanstalk from the Jack and the beanstalk story.
As always we love to get messy in over 2's! We have enjoyed painting a rainbow using cotton wool, This has helped us to enhance our fine motor skills as well as recognising colours.
What a fantastic time we have had!

Today was Brown day, here at Tiny Tree. Our babies have had a wonderful time exploring 'muddy' farm animals covered in brown shaving foam. They also used their senses to analyze some brown cloud dough. It was silky soft and they loved smelling the baby shampoo that was mixed in.
We hope your child enjoyed Brown day, see you tomorrow for another fun packed day.
