Toddle Up and Sign Award winning Baby Sign Classes in Yorkshire. Classes are interactive with props & sensory elements. The sessions aim to be lots of fun, relaxed & interesting

Each class is based around stories & songs to entertain whilst parents & children learn. Join Toddle Up and Sign, winner of the Most Loved Activity Leader in the North England in the 2020 Whats on 4 Kids Awards, for fun classes based around Nursery Rhymes and songs, allowing you to learn some Sign Language to use at home with your little one. There are lots of interactive elements to the sessions

with objects to handle and fun songs to help you remember the Signs taught. Classes cover a range of fun topics such as The Farm, Colours, The Sea, transport, Food and Drink, and there will be opportunity within the classes to have a cuppa and a chat with the other parents/ Carers. Classes are suitable for babies from 6 months old up to toddlers, but if you have a younger child and would like to attend for the social aspect you will be more than welcome. The classes use British Sign Language, and several new signs will be taught in each session. The aim for these sessions is to be informative by giving parents an additional and effective means to communicate with their child. But most of all be full of fun and laughter. Next Saturday we have a Summer fun themed session 'Under the Sea'- so I couldn't resist pulling this old video out. Join us for a Signed book, Silly songs, Props, Shakers, Scarves and refreshments. This is one of my favourite sessions- Sea reature Signs are brilliant, and we have some great songs too!

Our August Makaton Class has a lovely summer theme as we go Below The Waves 🌊. Expect Stories and Songs about Sea Creatures, Pirates, Boats and the Seaside. Plus Parachute Fun, Shakers, Toys & Refreshments! It will be a fun, lively way to start your Saturday.

Easter Makaton Fun with Toddle Up and Sign. Join us on Saturday 4th April for a Signed Easter Story, with games, songs, toys, bubbles and musical instruments. There will also be Easter nibbles for little ones, and a good cuppa for the grown ups. We welcome new faces so if you have never experienced Makaton before please do come along.
