We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day on Friday. It was fabulous to welcome families into school to enjoy reading with their children and to see the children and staff (as well as some parents) dressed up as their favourite book characters!
As a school we promote a love of reading as we recognise the importance of reading to children’s future attainment.
We are proud that our KS2 SATS results for reading are consistently above the Leeds and National averages and our 2025 results put us among the top performing primary schools in Leeds!

Thank you so much to Kallum Watkins for visiting us; we thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and it was fantastic for the children to meet such an amazing role model! 🏈👏🌟😃

Some of our children and staff attended the Remembrance Day service at the cenotaph this morning to lay a wreath in honour of those who served.
We will remember them.

Our Year 5 Class are having a great time so far on their residential trip to Herd Farm Residential & Activity Centre 🙂
