Swillington Pre-School Playgroup

UPDATE
due to the short notice, although school have kindly offered to help with funding we are unable to reopen in the new year until decisions have been made as to the future of the playgroup, we have got a couple of options to look into and have been contacted by the village council who are interested in helping us but all these options will need looking into before a decision is made.

Good afternoon
After a meeting with school this afternoon, we have been informed that school need the room that we run playgroup from when they return in January with this and there been no where else in the village we could use that is within our budget to rent we will unfortunately not be reopening in January. We are sorry for the short notice we have given everyone but we have only been informed today. This is something we didn’t want to happen but has now been taken out of our control.
Swillington pre school playgroup has been running for many many years so it is extremely sad that it is having to close so suddenly.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the families that have used swillington pre school playgroup and stay and play over the years that it has been running.

Good afternoon
Today was our last session until Monday 15th January 2024.
We would like to wish our children and their families a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Going forward, from January to Easter we loose a few of our children to go to school, if our numbers don’t pick up unfortunately we would have to close down at Easter. So please spread the word to your friends and family so we could try and stop this from happening.

Hello everyone, following on from our recent post we would like to say a BIG, BIG thank you to all who donated toys for the Playgroup. We have been given some wonderful toys for which we are so grateful.

HELP PLEASE -
DONATIONS REQUIRED

Hi all, the toys we currently have in Playgroup have given the children lots of pleasure and helped with creativity over the years but are now becoming very tired. Ideally we would like to be in a position to provide the children with a new selection.

Before we spend limited funds on purchasing new, please could we ask if anybody has any good quality toys suitable for birth to three year old that you could consider donating to Playgroup.

If so, we should be very grateful if you could either drop them in at Playgroup on a Monday morning or send a message for Tracy or Sarah via Messenger to enable us to arrange collection.

Today was the last playgroup for this term. Playgroup and stay and play will return on Monday 11th September due to school training days. We hope you all have a lovely summer and see you in September

Good afternoon
we have come to the decision we will now be only opening playgroup and stay and play on a Monday, this is due to low numbers on a Tuesday session. This will start from Monday 24th April, If the Monday falls as a bank holiday we will open the Tuesday (Tuesday 2nd May and Tuesday 9th May) the session will still run 9am till 11am and will be run by Sarah and Tracy doing alternate weeks. We hope this doesn’t cause any inconvenience.

Good morning
Due to unforeseen circumstances, both playgroup and stay and play will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 7th March), it will reopen on Monday (13th March) as usual. Sorry if this has caused any inconvenience.

We are now closed for Christmas. Thank you for the ongoing support this year and we look forward to seeing all our children when we return in 2023. Playgroup and stay & play will reopen on Monday 9th January 2023.

We have been very busy yesterday and today doing some lovely things to be displayed on our board inside playgroup. Look at our amazing work we have done.

Evening all
As you are probably aware Monday 19th September is officially a bank holiday, as confirmed by King Charles lll for the late queen Elizabeth ll funeral. Therefore playgroup and stay and play will be closed on this date only.

We are saddened to hear of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. We send our condolences along with many others to the royal family. Rest in peace your majesty ❤️❤️❤️
