This week, we are enjoying lots of summer activities, including making our own ice creams, both pretend and real.
We have been role-playing in the ice cream shop, taking turns, sharing, and buying and serving ice creams.
The children have made pretend smoothies and used different materials to create their own pretend ice creams and lollipops.

Lower Green 💚
Today is ‘world crocodile day’ so the children have been counting how many crocodiles there is in the tuff tray and then they used their fine motor skills to match the correct amount of number blocks to the correct number on the crocodile🐊 we’ve been learning about the different type of crocodiles there is, how big and small they can be and how many teeth they have 🦷🐊

This week the children celebrated international Italian day🍝 They enjoyed pretending to prepare Italian food using their fine motor skills to pick the spaghetti and meatballs! They enjoyed discussing different kinds of pasta we can eat🍝

This week we celebrated ‘national rocky road week’ the children used their fine motor skills by using a rolling pin to break the biscuits, and used the spoon to mix all the ingredients together! The children were excited with the finish product and are so excited to try their rocky road when they go home🥄🥣

💚Upper Green Room💚
We have been learning all about under the sea this week in Green room! 🐠
We have done lots of activities including, matching the numbers on fish, catching shells and fish using tweezers and nets which improves our fine motor skills!. Matching capital and lowercase letters, recognising the letters of our name and feeding them to the hungry shark and also giving the Rainbow fish its colours back 🐠

Lower Green💚
This week as the weather has been warm, we have been doing water based activities to cool down, the children used their fine motor skills to stir the lemons and water together! The children were able to use some of their senses to smell and feel the lemons! The children enjoyed stirring all the ingredients together to create their own lemonade!🥄🍋

Today is National numeracy day. The children have enjoyed lots of number activities. They have identified the numbers on the bones then counted out the correct amount of food to feed the dog.
They went on a number hunt outside finding and identifying numbers.
We have identified and matched cubes to the numbers and counted and added up the spots on the ladybirds.

Today in upper green room we have been learning about Bumblebees to celebrate National Bumblebee day 🐝 using the paint, the children enjoyed painting the sponge with the yellow and black pattern of bees and added eyes and wings! We talked about why bees are important and the children learnt about bees collecting nectar to make honey in their hives! 🍯
