We hope everyone is having a fun and safe summer! One week of the holiday left, so here's a reminder that we're looking forwarding to welcoming everyone back to school next week.

Sixth Form starts on Thursday 3rd September, with Year 12 arriving at 8.15am and Year 13 at 10.15am

Lower school have a staggered start, with Year 7 on Wednesday 2nd, and all other years on Thursday 3rd.

We are excited to welcome all students to Abbey Grange Sixth Form as they begin the next stage of their educational journey.

Exceptional results, exceptional futures. 🎓✨

Following this year's outstanding A Level results, our students are progressing to some of the UK's most prestigious institutions and career pathways, with six students heading to Oxford and Cambridge Universities, two to Imperial College London and three students who will begin studying Medicine.

Students have also secured places at leading Russell Group universities and respected conservatoires, reflecting the talent and ambition across the year group.

We're delighted that the vast majority of students achieved their first-choice university, apprenticeship or employment destination. Congratulations to all of our students on this fantastic achievement.

🔥 A hot day and even hotter results!

We're celebrating another year of outstanding A Level success, with students securing places at Oxford and Cambridge, Imperial College London, Medicine degrees, leading Russell Group universities, degree apprenticeships and exciting employment opportunities.

Principal, Mrs Morgan said, "We are immensely proud of every single Abbey student receiving their results today and delighted to note strong outcomes as well as some outstanding personal successes."

A huge congratulations to every student. Your hard work, resilience and ambition have paid off and we couldn't be prouder.

🎓✨ Cambridge University Open Day ✨🎓

Last week 14 students and 2 staff enjoyed the hospitality of Selwyn College Cambridge to visit the Cambridge university open day. They spent 2 days exploring colleges and departments and attending mock lectures and talks on applications. They also got to stay overnight in gorgeous real student accommodation. It was very very hot but as always our students conducted themselves amazingly and a great time was had by all.

🎓 15 Year 12 students and 2 staff spent Wednesday and Thursday last week at the University of Oxford Open Days.

The visit forms part of the support package we offer our scholars, a programme that has contributed to a record 9 Oxbridge offer holders this year. 🌟

During the two-day residential trip, students toured a range of colleges and academic departments to help inform their future applications. They also experienced university life first-hand by staying overnight in college accommodation 🏛️ and sharing an evening meal with Abbey Grange alumnus Ben, who has just completed his first year studying Biochemistry at Wadham College.

A huge thank you to St John's College, Oxford, for generously providing accommodation and meals, and to New College, Oxford for their continued support through the Step-Up Programme. 🤝

We are proud to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, achieving six "Strong Standard" judgements and one "Expected Standard" judgement, reflecting the dedication and care of our entire school community.

Inspectors recognised that “Pupils are proud to belong to Abbey Grange… they feel known, welcomed and encouraged to be their best selves… “everyone is appreciated for who they are”. Alongside this, the report notes that pupils enjoy their lessons, benefitting from our "well-planned, ambitious curriculum" and that they leave our Academy "well prepared for their next steps"

We feel that the inspection captured exactly what it feels like to be a member of the Abbey Grange family, recognising the extent to which each and every student is educated, nurtured and empowered to live life in all it's fullness.
