And we're back! We had such a wonderful day yesterday welcoming our pupils back to school after their summer holiday and hearing about what they have been getting up to over the last 6 weeks. We are so excited for the year that lays ahead, and we hope you are too!

It was the Yellow Sunshine boys turn at the climbing wall this week and WOW! They were absolutely brilliant, up and down that wall like Spiderman. Some even kicked their feet against the wall to 'bounce' themselves down. We're so proud. I think one pupil summed it up perfectly when he said "wow, this is so cool" as soon as he saw the wall. Well done boys.

The girls in Yellow Sunshine attended Big Depot climbing wall this morning for an adventure like no other. At first, nerves set in, but after watching their teacher go up the wall (rather clumsily) they were enthusiastic about giving it a go themselves. And just WOW!! They were absolutely amazing, so brave. It was such an honour to watch them go out of their comfort zone in so many ways and excel. The girls are so proud of themselves and so they should be. Next week, it’s the boys turn, they’ve got big shoes to fill.

Red fire enjoyed a music session together this afternoon. We sat in a big cirlcle, chose our own instruments and sang our favourite songs! One pupil loved the sound of the drum - we sang “If you're happy and you know it” and he laughed every time Gemma tapped the drum during the song!

EASTER BONNET PARADE

On Friday, pupils and staff took part in our annual Easter Bonnet Parade! Every year we combine our Easter Celebrations with Wear a Hat Day which raises awareness and fundraises for Brain Tumour Research.

The day was made extra memorable for the pupils by the Easter Bunny visiting the school, delivering East Eggs and furry bunny ears.

We hope our pupils and their families all have a wonderful Easter break 🐰🐤🌷🍫
