Maths Tuition Leeds

This morning I’m teaching GCSE Statistics to my own daughter and some furry friends 🐶

My daughter is hoping to go on to study A Level Maths next year. Doing an extra GCSE in Statistics, outside of school, is a good way to set her up for her future learning.

If you have a child who is looking to study A Level maths, GCSE Statistics is definitely something to consider. Even if your child’s school do not teach this subject (my daughters school doesn’t), they may still consider entering your child for the exam if they have completed their learning with a private tutor.

A message to every young person getting their GCSE results today.

Today I was asked the question ‘Is zero a number?’

This is a matter of some discussion in the maths world.

I subscribe to the theory that technically it’s the absence of a number, but in order to make mathematics work, we must pretend that it is a number in order to facilitate calculations.
