This week our Middleton LS10 Group explored the impact of colours, positive messages and kindness through creative art.
As well as developing their dance skills with the DAZL team. The younger group went on to create their own ideas and plans for a garden with Inspiring Positive Futures , which we hope to develop in the outside space. It was lovely to see their imagination, confidence and teamwork growing.
The older group spent time thinking about people who have shown them kindness and why kindness matters. They then enjoyed some relaxed craft work together.
What really stood out in only week two was one young person mentioning teamwork.
The group also helped to clean up at the end β a simple but important life skill and a lovely example of taking responsibility.
The group were supportive sharing their dance to each other celebrating each others creative achivements.
Everyone enjoyed snacks and drinks, and it was another positive session full of creativity, conversation and kindness.
Small steps, positive futures.

Inspiring Positive Futures ; Discover Me delivered in partnership with the DWP Selby North Yorkshire.
At IPF our CEO Kim Groves and team understand that each young personβs journey is unique.
Some young people are ready to go straight into employment. Others require time, confidence, support, skills, training, education, work experience, or help to overcome barriers before they can progress.
That is why our work focuses not just on numbers but on people.
When a young person secures employment, begins training, enters education, gains work experience, or takes steps towards self-employment, that is genuine progress.
For some, the journey is swift. For others, it takes longer. Both are important.
Public, private, and grant investments in young people are worthwhile when they help build a future they can believe in.
Small organisation. Big impact.

Cultural Diversity β Our Colourful World Garden
This week, our 7β9 year olds will be exploring foods, games, manners and respect as part of our cultural diversity session.
Through conversation, creativity and shared learning, children will think about how different cultures bring different foods, games, celebrations, colours, stories and traditions into our communities.
The children will create their own Colourful World Garden, showing that kindness, respect and belonging help every child feel welcome.
Our world is like a garden β it grows stronger when lots of different colours, roots and stories are cared for together.
Cultural acceptance | Ambition | Kindness | Belonging

At Inspiring Positive Futures CIC, our Senior Group continues to create a safe, relaxed and positive space for young people to have their voices heard.
This weekβs session focused on young people shaping future activities, exploring culture and diversity, and building confidence through conversation.
Young people worked together to share ideas for activities, local visits and topics that matter to them.
The session ended with snacks, relaxation and mobiles away β creating space for real conversation.
A big thank you to our partners at Rethink Food for making Fuel for Thought available, supporting young people with positive food, conversation and connection.
At IPF, we believe small conversations can build confidence, trust and stronger futures.
