We are proud to share this fantastic outcome at Abbey Grange CE Academy. What comes through so strongly in their Ofsted report is the sense of care, belonging and shared ambition that defines the academy. This is a school where young people feel known and valued and where relationships really matter.
There is a clear and unwavering belief at Abbey Grange, and all schools within our Trust, that every pupil can succeed both academically and as a person. That commitment to developing character alongside knowledge is what truly prepares young people for their next steps and for life beyond school.

Today, as Sir David Attenborough celebrates his 100th birthday, pupils across our Trust have been learning about his lifeโs work and reflecting on how we can all play a part in protecting the natural world.
Weโre proud to share this wonderful post from Holy Trinity C of E Primary, Rothwell, which captures the curiosity, creativity and care our children are showing for the planet. This learning strongly supports the Our World pillar of our Trust Strategic Plan, helping pupils understand their responsibility as global citizens and empowering them to care for the environment, communities and future generations.
As Sir David Attenborough himself reminds us:
โNo one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienedโ
An inspiring reminder of why nurturing wonder, respect and responsibility for our world in schools truly matters, today and for the future. ๐

Given our Trust's significant process in recent years, and as we approach the conclusion of our current three-year strategy, our Trustees have been carefully considering the leadership model that will best support the next phase of our Trust's development. Following this review, we can now confirm they have taken the decision to move from our current Co-CEO model to a single Chief Executive Officer structure.
To ensure continuity and stability, the Board has undertaken a robust internal recruitment process and are delighted to confirm that Helen Pratten FCCT has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 May 2026. Helen has provided strong leadership as co-CEO and we are confident she will continue to lead the Trust successfully, building on the progress made and supporting our schools, pupils and communities in the years ahead.
We would like to thank Catherine Garrett for her commitment and dedication since joining Abbey Multi Academy Trust in 2017, and particularly for the impact she made as co-CEO & Director of Education. We wish her every success for the future.
This change represents an evolution of our strategy, not a change in direction, and we remain firmly focused on delivering strong outcomes for all pupils.
