Last month I got diagnosed with endometriosis one of the most horrible conditions a woman can go through. I had a pre operation assessment which I should get in the next few months. I'm hoping to have the operation but in the meantime it'll be some reading around if the benefits outweigh the risks due to it growing back and possibly needing more than one surgery. 🫤
Anyway 😅1RM pre surgery: anthropometrics 58K 163cm CMJ height 36cm, BB row 40K, RDL 45K, Clean: 40K and hang clean 35Kg, Back Squat not 100% 1RM but 65K. Estimating my 1RM between 75-80K
Already correcting my form in my head and if anyone wants to spot me on a BS so I don't die please feel free 😆

Bradford tonight gym session as a circuit for my U23 and 1st team. Correcting a lot of technique. Then conditioning on the pitch for U23 which I led and it went a lot better than last night. Focused on voice projection and it was slightly better on the pitch.
Some of my U23 have a college game tomorrow so good luck for that ladies 🤞

Main lifts with the 1st years last Monday with i2i. Jump & shrugs and front squats, correcting their technique as they are quite new to the front squat. Then they went onto sprint testing on the 3G's.

Next time I need a 15K bar but my jump's and shrugs was making the correct sound so that's a bonus. But more work needed but getting there slowly...

Tonight's warm up with Bradford AFC went a lot better tonight than on Tuesday. 😅 Focussed on underpinning the raise part of RAMP and then did some COD work towards the end to keep them up to speed.

1st team have a game Sunday so focused on match analysis and positioning ready for then so they can build an attack appropriately.

My U23's aren't playing this weekend so we used the time to top up on distance with some sprints and then they played some small sided games to help communication in a game and defending.

Waited 4 years for this opportunity to be an S&C Coach on an internship in the states. Keeping everything crossed that I get the chance to at least interview 🤞🤞🤞
Buzzing that this is part funded, my CV is going straight in this weekend 😁
Can then catch up with mates in the states from camp and possibly book another Tru tour with one of the best tour guides. If I don't get the chance to do this it's gonna be the worst thing that happens this year 😅

Over the last couple of weeks with Bradford AFC I've been shadowing my mentor, getting to learn the game a bit more and how match analysis works as well as know how other roles play a crucial part in football.

Now I've been let loose with a full team😁... Kind of. Last Thursday was my first go at taking a RAMP warm up with the U23 football team and getting to know them.
Now for the next few weeks I'm working on really underpinning RAMP in my warmups to replicate football as coaching the sport is still very new to me. Particularly focusing on the raise part as tonight I've worked on potentiate and it didn't seem quite right with the group.

A lot of practice in the gym at uni to just practice RAMP is needed this week I think...

Still learning, still loving it 💕

Last week I got accepted onto a second placement with i2i international soccer academy. I met all the teams and did some fitness testing with them all as some sort of baseline test for the start of this season. Tested CMJ, drop jump, 1RM mid thigh pull, height, weight and then did the 30/15m sprint with the boys teams.

Another great placement with a lovely mentor. Think I'm going to do well and improve my confidence and S&C knowledge this year in a sport I'm new to coaching. 😁

Somehow need to fit in some reading to actually write some assignments this year 😅

Tonight learnt about how GPS data and tracking works and how to represent that data within an app and excel for the team and individual players.

Then we worked on match analysis with the whole team ready for their game on Sunday against i2i. Then we did some conditioning on the pitch before playing a small sided game.

Tonight I already got to work with one of the players on a 1 to 1 basis who's coming back from injury. Working on COD, movement patterns and pushing off. Then went into a bit of top up with dribbling.

Tonight I started my placement at Bradford FC 😃⚽
Great athletes, great tutor and great club 😊
Think I'm gonna learn so much this year especially not being involved in team sports before.
Tonight looked at acceleration & deceleration in a game and used GPS monitors to measure distance covered and heart rate in a match setting. Bring on Thursday night 😃
