hi, me again.

i have a confession. i haven’t been to the gym consistently now for around 6 months and to say it’s taken it’s toll on me is an understatement.

i’ve had so many mixed feelings about it, wanting to go because i love it but needing to protect myself from overworking after having a HARD year at uni then also feeling guilty because i’m a PT and if i can’t set that standard for myself then how am i ever going to be a good personal trainer?

it’s fair to say i’ve had a lot going on over the past few months - with my dissertation, losing my car and being financially stressed, unable to get a job and relying on my loan, eating disorders, renting a car in italy and then getting stranded on a tiny island, the list is endless.

BUT

this is not a pity post, it’s just to spread awareness that not everything you see on social media is real. it’s not all sunshine and flowers and behind the scenes this really has been the most testing time of my life.

I love this account so much and i’ve severely missed posting gym content and interacting with all the sick gym goers who follow me but take this as an “i’m nearly back” post and as soon as that diss is handed in, gym is going to get smashed

imagine this >

your birthday cake needs to be baked at 400 degrees for 40 minutes to turn out perfectly

but you decide to bake it at 800 degrees for 20 minutes to speed up the process

then you’re surprised when it turns out burnt and tastes like s**t

the same applies for fat loss n muscle building🫡

a muscular body is something that a lot of people want. it’s such a beautiful thing because it’s not for sale. you have to put the work in, in order to get it. that’s why it’s so respectable when you see people achieving their fitness goals because nothing worth having comes easy 💘

Have a read below to see why you shouldn’t believe all the s**te you see online ⬇️

1 - Your body can’t tell the time and doesn’t know what time you’re eating at, it measures in calories not by the clock

2 - Carbohydrates are such an important tool which provide you with energy and cutting out an entire macronutrient is never the way forward, they exist for a reason

3 - As a matter of fact it’s the opposite. If your goal is to lose weight and you need to eat 2000 calories a day to be in a deficit, whether you eat that in 1 meal or 6 meals makes no difference, it’s the calories that count

4 - Intermittent fasting is a good tool to utilise when wanting to lose weight IF you want to skip a meal because you’re not usually hungry in a morning. However, if you skip breakfast but then go over your daily calories by 500kcal per day then you’re not going to see any weight loss

5 - If you are 100% clean with your diet then are you really loving and enjoying life? Is your physique really so important that you can’t go make fun memories around the dinner table with your friends and family?
