Garforth Day Nursery and Pre-school Garforth Day Nursery and Preschool is a private nursery based in Garforth, Leeds caring for children from 0-5 years.

We are conveniently located opposite Garforth train station and easily accessible from the M1/M62/A1 motorway network. Our nursery provides the highest levels of care and Preschool education across four age appropriate rooms, focus is on providing a happy, friendly and stimulating environment which enables all children to reach their full potential.

🌈🌿 OUTDOOR DAY! 🌿🌈

What a wonderful day of exploring, learning and having fun outdoors! 🥰☀️

Today we went on a colour hunt, exploring our surroundings and seeing how many different colours we could spot. We also harvested some yummy vegetables from our very own vegetable garden and got creative with some wonderful pretend play!

We headed out into our local community for a walk to watch the trains and enjoyed spotting all the little signs of autumn 🍂🍁

Outdoor play is so important in these earliest years, it creates opportunities to develop their physical skills, confidence, curiosity and independence, while exploring the wider community helps them build an understanding of the world around them.

A day full of fresh air, adventure, imagination and lots of little discoveries! 🌱✨🍂

🌺 Flower soup 🌺

Today we enjoyed our outdoor sensory play, splashing in the water and getting creative with beautiful flowers.

The children had so much fun making their very own “flower soup”, mixing petals, water and lots of imagination together.

They explored different textures, colours and smells while developing their communication, creativity and fine motor skills.

Exploring emotions through nature!

In our preschool room , the children used natural resources to create our very own faces, getting creative with leaves, sticks, flowers and more! 🍂🌸

We talked about different emotions and explored how our faces can change when we feel happy, sad, angry, surprised and excited.

This morning we have been exploring the three little pigs story.
We learned about the different houses the pigs had built to try and escape the wolf and decided to build our own houses for the three little pigs.
I gave the option of sticks, bricks and straw, like in the book and the children each decided what to use to build the strongest house!📚

Lots of squishing, splashing, scooping and curious little hands getting stuck in!

It was wonderful to see them exploring the different textures, smells and sensations.

🏆🏃🏅SPORTS DAY🏅🏃‍♀️🏆

What an amazing couple of days in Preschool! We kicked off each of our sports days with the classic sack race, bouncing our way to the finish line, followed by a super tricky egg and sooon race (where balancing was definitely an extreme sport!).

After a bit of a break, we picked up the pace with the hurdles, flew down the track in our 100 metre sprint, and worked together in the fast-paced relay race. We even mixed things up with a fun ring toss!

A massive well done to everyone who took part, cheered from the sidelines, and made it such an unforgettable experience! 🎉🏅 - Rhys, Sports and Wellness Coach 🤍
