GREEN ROOM :)

This morning, the children in the Green Room have been delighting in playing with the oral health tuff tray. We discussed how to clean our teeth properly and how many times a day we should do it. We also talked about the different types of food we eat and whether they are healthy or unhealthy.

Today blue room have taken part in National Underwear Day. Each child was given an underwear template, and they were given pencil crayons to freely decorate their template how they wish. We used words such as, “potty”, “underpants” and “toilet”.

This has tied in really well with our learning, as some of our children are currently potty training.

Following the children’s recent interest in vehicles we set up our own construction site. The children built towers with different materials as we incorporated numeracy within play counting the pieces in the tower. The children had lots of fun trying on the builders accessories as they became fully immersed in the role play set up! We also supported the children’s learning further with themed literature alongside play. 👷 👷‍♂️

💙🦈 Blue Room - Shark Awareness Week 🦈💙

This morning blue room have enjoyed taking part in a shark painting activity. The children used their fine and gross motor skills to hold the paintbrushes with a palmer grasp. We identified the different paint colours that we were using, and talked about what sharks do and where they live.

Summer Drinks Tuff Tray 🍹🍍🍉🍇

This morning our Green Room children enjoyed creating summery drinks in the water tray, we used mint, lemons and some fruit themed ice cube trays to create our summer drinks!
The children had lots of fun making different combinations and talking about the different ingredients in their drinks! 😊

💛Yellow Room💛 Teddy Bears Picnic Day! 🐻

Today all of our babies brought in their favourite bear for our teddy bears picnic! We have had lots of fun reading some bear themed stories and tucking into our pretend picnic. The children enjoyed the role play set up pretending to feed their teddy’s.🐻

Oral Health 🦷- We have been checking that all our bears have clean teeth, the children chose their own coloured toothbrush to use for their teddys. We also read through an interactive story about brushing our teeth and practicing on our teddy’s to help us understand what to do.

🐻 Nation Teddy Bear’s Picnic Day 🐻
This morning in red room we have celebrated National teddy bear’s picnic day by having our very own picnic with our teddies. This provided the children with open ended opportunities for role play and pretend play. The children enjoyed feeding the teddies and giving them cups of tea. 🫖 ☕️
