❤️🦷🪥 Red Room - Oral Hygiene 🪥🦷❤️

This morning Red room have enjoyed taking part in their monthly oral hygiene activity. Whilst the children brushed their “teeth” using shaving foam as toothpaste, we sang the song - brush brush brush your teeth 🎵. The toothbrushes supported the children with their palmer grasp and their control in holding/ using an object.

💛Yellow Room💛National Sea Turtle Day 🐢
Today we have been looking at turtles linking to one of our words of the months ‘turtle’. The children enjoyed moving the turtles through the oobleck sea and reading through our touch feel turtle book. We had lots of fun popping bubbles while singing our tiny turtle song!

Nature Photography day 📸🌳 Green Room

Today is Nature Photography Day! We enjoyed making our own cameras with different coloured lenses and enjoyed taking them outside to see what nature we could find and what it looked like through our special cameras 😅 The children were very excited to see what they could find in the garden!

Green Room - Number Train - Superhero Day! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

This afternoon during our Number Train session with Liz we had a superhero theme, we met the Super Six blocks and ordered them from smallest to largest and we also practised our superhero flying, swimming, running etc around the room. We also practised number recognition looking for the superhero blocks with the right amount of blocks when Liz shouted out a number.

The preschool children really enjoy number train and always enjoy our different themed sessions each week !

❤️🍁 Red Room - Nature Photograph Day 🍁❤️

This morning Red room have taken part in Nature Photograph Day. We set up an activity where the children were able to mark make what nature resources they could see. This activity helped to support the children with their palmer grasp, and encouraged the children to use simple words. We described the items that we could see, “sticks, leaf”. Some of the older children were able to identify the colour of the leaves and then match this with the colour of the crayon they were going to use.

💛Yellow Room💛
Today in yellow room we enjoyed a story and music session in our morning group time. The children chose their own puppets from our song bag to sing with to support turn taking and sharing. This afternoon we focused on the colour blue, one of our words of the month. The children had lots of fun investigating a range of blue sensory resources with lots of textures💛.

💛Yellow Room💛 World Cup!⚽️
Today marks the start of the World Cup which we have been exploring in Yellow Room today. We focused on our physical development this afternoon kicking, rolling and throwing the balls into our colourful goals. We have also been getting creative painting our own footballs with natural resources.

❤️ 💛 🐵 Little Movers - Little Monkeys Theme 🐵 💛 ❤️

This morning, Red and Yellow room have enjoyed taking part in little movers this morning. The children enjoyed making the monkey jump on the trampoline and then giving him a big cuddle at the end of the session. They children were counting the little monkeys, and also singing the 5 little monkeys nursery rhyme.
