Some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils were lucky enough to attend the Leeds Book Awards ceremony at Leeds City Museum before half term 📚
They loved interviewing the authors, getting their books signed and exploring the museum. A fantastic opportunity to celebrate a love of reading and meet some inspiring writers!

Last half term, Dahl class went on a fantastic trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park 🦒🐆🦓
The children had lots of fun exploring the park and seeing all of the amazing animals. A brilliant day full of smiles and excitement!

Bond Class had a fantastic day travelling back in time at Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills 🏭
In the morning, the children visited a Victorian schoolroom and experienced what it would have been like to attend school during Victorian times. They really enjoyed discovering the strict rules and routines of the classroom!
In the afternoon, they stepped into the role of young factory workers in the mill. It was a fun, engaging and eye-opening experience that brought their history learning to life.

Our PE team took 28 Year 6 children to John Charles to take part in the Brownlee Foundation Mini-Triathlon 🏊🏽‍♂️🚴🏃🏽‍♂️
The children showed fantastic determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the event and represented Sharp Lane brilliantly!
