What a fantastic evening our Year 6 children had at their end-of-year celebration, kindly organised by their wonderful parents. 🎉
The night was filled with laughter, dancing, smiles, and unforgettable memories as everyone came together to celebrate their time at SPS. It was a truly special way to mark the end of an incredible chapter and recognise the friendships and experiences that have made their primary school journey so memorable.
To all of our Year 6 pupils, we are so proud of everything you have achieved. As you prepare to begin your next adventure at high school, we wish you every success, happiness, and confidence for the exciting journey ahead.

Year 6 enjoyed an afternoon of fun, food and friendship (and plenty of hydration breaks!) this afternoon to celebrate their final week at Stanningley.

Wow! What a performance the Y5/6 children gave in their end of year show: 'I'm an Eleven-Year-Old, Get Me Out of Here!' Not one, but TWO amazing performances were given by the children this evening and we could not be more proud if we tried! Thank you to all of our parents/carers, family members and friends for supporting the children throughout. We DEFINITELY saw some stars of the future performing on the stage at SPS tonight! Well done to all!

What an incredible achievement for our amazing Team Stanningley, bringing home 2nd place at the Bramley Olympics! 🌟
Small school. Great team. Big heart.
We couldn't be prouder of every single child. Their commitment, determination and teamwork shone throughout the day. Every point counted, every effort mattered, and their outstanding behaviour made them true ambassadors for our school.
For a small one-form entry primary, this is a fantastic result and one that is thoroughly deserved. Well done, Team Stanningley – you've made us all incredibly proud! 💙💛🎉

🏐 Netball Champions! 🏆
A warm Tuesday evening, some fantastic netball and a nail-biting finish!
Our Year 6 netball team faced some tough competition throughout the tournament, showing determination, teamwork and resilience every step of the way. After an incredibly tense 0-0 final, the match was decided by a three-player shoot-out... and Stanningley held their nerve to take the victory! 🎉
A huge congratulations to our brilliant Year 6 team. Your teamwork, sportsmanship and composure under pressure were outstanding. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves!

Our school took part in the Chess In Schools and Communities Chess Fest 2026 event, which took place in Manchester Square Gardens in London. The children travelled down by train and enjoyed a full day of chess activities and tuition. They played in a tournament against children from across the UK and they played in teams with the grant preces. In the afternoon the International Master Bodhana Siuananden, who is just eleven years old took everyone on in a game of simultaneous chess! Our platers were excellent throughout the day and we were very proud of our Stanningley Primary representatives.

What a fantastic trip Reception had to the Welly Club Forest School! One child even declared it the “best day ever”. The children immersed themselves in nature, showing fantastic creativity and curiosity throughout the day. There were so many activities to choose from, creating minibeasts from clay, making potions in the mud kitchen, going on a butterfly hunt , swaying in hammocks beneath the trees and many more Although the weather was very warm, the children stayed cool and comfortable by dipping their feet in the water whilst enjoying some delicious ice lollies, the perfect treat! We are so proud of how well the children embraced the day, showing enthusiasm, teamwork, and a real love for the outdoors. Lots of special memories were made!
