I saw these beauties today in a garden in Leicester and I wondered what they were… so Aunty Google came up with an identification for me on the Wildlife Trust’s website- it’s probably a Cinnabar caterpillar! They will hopefully mature into amazing black and red moths. Aren’t they beautiful!
You can see a picture of the moth on the WT website: https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife/how-identify/identify-caterpillars

☀️ Hello Mini Professors!!
While we're sweltering here in Leeds in the heat, NASA's James Webb telescope is orbiting the sun about 1 million miles away from us in the freezing cold of space- it's now about -266 Centigrade (7 Kelvin) ❄️ brrrrrrr!!!
If you haven't seen them, the pictures released today are really beautiful and well worth a look!!
It's here – the deepest, sharpest infrared view of the universe to date: Webb's First Deep Field.
Previewed by President Joe Biden on July 11, the image shows us galaxies once invisible to us. The full set of full-color images and data from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope will be revealed July 12: nasa.gov/webbfirstimages

Our company started under the Baby Sensory Limited banner in 2006, but as our expertise and programmes broadened, we decided we needed an umbrella brand.
We launched the WOW World Group in 2016 to include the following programmes:

2. Toddler Sense (13 months to 5 years)
3. Hello Baby (birth to 3 months)
4. Reading Fairy (12 months to 5 years)

6. KeepaBeat (paediatric first aid)
7. Photo Sensory (expert photography services)
Every programme has been designed and developed by a qualified and experienced founder who ran classes or courses themselves for several years to bring the absolute best to WOW.
If you’d like to find out more about becoming a franchisee running one (or more) of these programmes then come along to our Discovery Event. We have opportunities for all programmes at various locations across Yorkshire.
If you can’t attend the event but would like more information you can email [email protected].

How can I get my toddler interested in astronomy?
Whilst the concept of the atmosphere, the earth and space might seem a little alien (!) to your toddler, there are still ways in which you can start to teach them about the universe.
Try:
1. Reading books that include rockets, space, the planets, the moon and/or the stars.
2. Pointing out the moon on different evenings and explaining to your toddler how it has changed shape and why you may not be able to see it every night.
3. Showing your child the night sky and pointing out the stars (make sure you wrap up warm if you choose to do this outside!)
4. Painting or drawing the moon and the stars or the planets!
5. Including the moon, the stars, rockets, astronauts and/or the planets in your little ones imaginative play.
6. Sing songs such as ""Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"" and ""Zoom Zoom Zoom, We're Going to the Moon.

Did you know that April is global astronomy month?
It's the world’s largest annual global celebration of astronomy. So, to celebrate this month why not have a go at this simple 'constellation project' science experiment with your family?
For the experiment you will need:
-a cylindrical food container (including the lid).
-a nail
-scissors
-a torch
-a pencil
To conduct the experiment:
1. Draw your favourite constellation onto the lid of your food container.
2. Now use the nail to poke out the holes of your constellation. (Please note that this should be done by an adult)
3. Cut a hole in the bottom of your food container that is big enough to fit the torch through.
4. Put the lid onto your food container.
5. Go into a dark room, turn on your torch, and project your constellation onto the wall or ceiling.
Let us know how you get on!
