A big thank you to all the parents, carers, and little ones who joined us for our Toddler Group this morning! It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the activities, playing together, and sharing a cup of tea and a chat. Please note that our next session will be on Friday 19th June. We look forward to welcoming you all back then for more fun, stories, and play!

Beech Class had a fantastic adventure today on their school trip to
Lotherton Hall! The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the
beautiful house and grounds, and they especially loved visiting
Wildlife World, where they got up close to the penguins, flamingos,
and tapirs. Throughout the day, the children represented our school wonderfully, showing great curiosity and asking brilliant questions. It was a lovely, hands-on learning experience that has left everyone with lots of wonderful memories to talk about back in the classroom.

This week, our fantastic Eco Warriors went on an exciting educational visit to the Leeds Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility. They had a brilliant time learning all about what happens to the waste from our black bins and exploring how the city reduces its carbon footprint. The children got to see the state-of-the-art machinery in action, learned how metals are separated for recycling, and discovered how the remaining waste is incredibly transformed into enough energy to power thousands of local homes! They returned to school bursting with new ideas on how we can reduce, reuse, and recycle even more across our classrooms.

As we start the second half of the term, please could we take this opportunity to remind all families about our school uniform policy. In line with our guidelines, children should not be coming to school wearing false nails or eyelashes. These items can be a health and safety hazard during PE and playtime, and can also distract from the children's learning. We greatly appreciate your support and cooperation in helping all of our pupils look smart and stay safe. Thank you!

Today, the school was rocking as we held our annual Times Tables Rock Stars Day! The classrooms were packed with energy as the children fully embraced their inner rock stars, dressing up in some truly spectacular outfits and showcasing their amazing maths skills. Throughout the day, the children took part in high-energy battles, quick-fire challenges, and friendly competitions to test their multiplication and division recall. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm for maths across the whole school, and the progress the children are making with their times tables speed is incredible. A huge thank you to all the parents and carers for helping with
the brilliant costumes it really made the day unforgettable! A thank you also goes to Mr Williams, our Mathematics Leader, for organising the day.

A huge well done to all of the children who were chosen for Person of the Week for demonstrating our school rule of being ready! It has been fantastic to see our children returning from the half-term break with such positive attitudes whether that meant having their listening ears ready for the teacher, sitting beautifully on the carpet, or lining up quickly after playtime. We are incredibly proud of how quickly everyone has settled back into their routines.

A very warm welcome back to school after the half-term break. It has been wonderful to see the children return with such enthusiasm and big smiles. They have settled back into their school routines beautifully this week, and there is already a fantastic buzz of learning across the classrooms. We have a busy and exciting final few weeks ahead! Please look out for the class newsletters, as
these share key dates for this half term.
