UNDEFEATED ✅

Just before the half-term, the U11 girls continued their remarkable form with a magnificent victory yesterday against Middleton St Mary’s. The game was full of brilliant moments, fabulous teamwork, fantastic team play and lots of individual brilliance ⭐️

St Augustine’s showed real grit and determination to keep pushing to score as the resilient Middleton keeper kept saving every shot! 🥅 Nyenyezi came closest in the first half with an incredible strike which struck the crossbar from twenty yards out! That would have easily been goal of the season had that gone in! 🎯

0-0 at half time, the girls continued to push against the resilient opposition keeper and eventually got their well deserved goal as Hannah got the ball and struck the ball which deflected past the opposition goalkeeper! 1-0! St Augustine’s continued to push but ultimately the score stayed 1-0 and the girls continued their unbeaten streak, well done girls! 🤩

Our player of the match was Hannah for her incredible determination, brilliant pressing and desire to get forward, well done Hannah!

Final score:
Middleton St Mary’s 0 - 1 St Augustine’s

Good luck to all of our wonderful Year 6 children this week! 🌟

Remember, SATs do not define you — they are simply a chance to show all of the hard work and progress you have made. We are already incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

Believe in yourselves, stay calm and try your very best. You’ve got this! 💫

Year 4 had great fun this week making and testing out their own telephone to see how sound can travel. We found out that the sound did travel to our partners ear, along the string via vibrations. We are all so amazed! Future scientists in the making 📞🥼

🚓 A Special Visit from Our Community Heroes! 🚓

We had an incredibly exciting morning welcoming our local Community Police Officers! The children had a brilliant time exploring the police van and asking the officers all their important questions. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to build trust with our local heroes and understand their role in keeping us safe.

☀️ What a sizzling start to the Summer Term! ☀️

Our Reception superstars have hit the ground running this week, and we couldn’t be prouder. From soaking up the beautiful sunshine to diving headfirst into our brand-new topic, “We Can Be Heroes,” the energy in the classroom has been amazing! 🦸‍♂️✨

Here’s a glimpse into our busy week:

Future Legends: We held our “What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?” day, and the outfits were simply fantastic! We had everything from brave firefighters to inspiring doctors.

Amazing Authors: The children blew us away with their writing, sharing their big dreams and aspirations for the future. 📝

Reflective Moments: In RE, we’ve been exploring the stories of the Ascension and Pentecost.

Catching the Spirit: To help understand the Holy Spirit, we headed outside to explore the wind! We watched how it moves scarfs and kites—just like the invisible but powerful move of the Spirit. 🌬️🕊️

It has been a truly wonderful start to the half term. We can’t wait to see what these little heroes achieve next!
