Join us at Grasshoppers at Tong Garden Centre Fridays at 9.30am.

Classes are 40 minutes long. We have lots of fun and provide a relaxed, pressure free environment where you can just enjoy spending time with your little one(s).

PAYG classes are £6.50 or 6 session flexipasses are £36 and offer the same flexibility but with a confirmed place in the class.

Are you on the look out for a class to bring your little one to? A class that is fun, engaging, suitable from 6 months to pre-school that also helps your little one’s development? Then look no further.

Our classes are planned and delivered by a professional musician who has over twenty years experience working in education! This sets us apart from so many of the classes out there.

Every week we have a different theme for the class - such as insects, space, the seasons, circus etc. In keeping with our theme we sing songs, learn actions and movements, perform rhymes, listen to some fabulous music and play a variety of percussion instruments. Once per half term we introduce and little ones will have hands on experience of a ‘grown up’ instrument such as the trumpet, trombone, ukulele, harmonica or violin.

As repetition and routine are both very important to little one’s and for development we do have some features of the classes that are present each week; the good morning and good bye songs, shake and stop, tapping on my sticks and our pebble songs.

Classes are £36 for a 6 session Flexipass. This means that if you are unable to attend a session, as long as you let us know, you will not lose the session from your block booking. Great discounts available for siblings.

Classes are suitable from 6 months all of the way through to pre-school. Each week we have a different theme for the class; we sing songs, listen to fab music, use sensory props, learn movements and actions and play instruments.

Classes are just £36 for 6 classes and if you or your little one are ill or on holiday etc you don’t lose the class from your booking it simply carries over.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN’T MAKE A CLASS?

Here at Music Box Minis we completely understand that things happen and sometimes we can’t make classes. So, rather than booking termly blocks of classes we book Flexipasses. Each Flexipass is valid for 6 sessions and as long as you let me know prior to the class that you can’t attend for whatever reason then it will not come off your Flexipass. So you never have to lose out on a class because of illness, holidays, family visits, appointments etc.

Each 6 session Flexipass costs £36. That’s only £6 per session with all of the extra flexibility.

WHY DO YOU USE SONG PEBBLES EVERY WEEK?

We do lots of singing in every Music Box Minis classes but we always include two of our singing pebbles to choose two nursery rhymes in EVERY class. I have 11 different pebbles so this gives us some variety but also that vital repetition. And here are the reasons why:

- Nursery rhymes are such a powerful learning resource in early LITERACY helping with rhythm and patterns of language
- They help with SPEECH DEVELOPMENT as they are language rich so help to provide your little one with lots of new words.
- AUDITORY PROCESSING - hearing (and singing) nursery rhythms helps little ones to discriminate between the different sounds that they hear.
- SOCIAL SKILLS AND BONDING. Hopping and jumping around with your friends in Sleeping Bunnies. Getting in a boat with grown up or friend for row, row, row.
- REPETITION may seem boring to adults but it is vital for little ones to practice all of these important skills in a safe, fun & nurturing environment.

So, it's not just a little sing song, it is so much more!

Did you know if little ones know 8 nursery rhymes by the time they are 8 they are usually amongst the best spellers and readers in their class? And at Music Box Minis we become familiar with 11!!
