💜 Volunteer Opportunity at Leeds Baby Bank 💜

Our Community Hub is growing, and we’re in real need of more Community Hub Volunteers to join our amazing team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting local families in our community. As a Community Hub volunteer, you could be:

✨ Welcoming and chatting with families accessing our services
✨ Providing administrative support
✨ Helping to set up and run workshops

We are currently most in need of volunteers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Join Leeds Baby Bank for a relaxed, friendly coffee morning created especially for families with children aged 0–5. It is a welcoming space to connect, chat, and get helpful guidance from local organisations, with calm, inclusive play and activities set up for little ones.

Small children have sadly been strangled after becoming entangled with the looped cord from a window blind.

It happens quickly and silently.

• Safely secure blind cords or chains with a cleat hook or tensioner to keep them away from children. All new blinds should come with these.
• Try to keep furniture well out of the way of blind cords or chains so your toddler can’t climb up and reach them.
• Consider cord-free blinds for children’s rooms. And try not to put your child’s cot or bed under the blind cord.

Good morning everyone,

Unfortunately, we will no longer be running our Breastfeeding Group from the Colton Primary School site. Moving forward, this support will be merged with the Garforth Breast Friends Group.

Thank you all for your support over the years. We are incredibly proud of what this group has achieved and are pleased that this valuable support for families will continue through the Garforth Breast Friends Group. 😊
