And that’s it! The A level paper 3 Chemistry exam is underway as we speak, which marks the end of my exam season! This whole academic year, but particularly this calendar year, has flown by, and tbh I’m in disbelief that we are already here. Like how it is the middle of June already?! 😨
I find change and transition difficult, and working with a different cohort of students in one or two year cycles leaves me feeling all the feels at this time of year. I am of course delighted that the finish line is very much in sight for them now, and they can have a much needed rest and enjoy their summer breaks! ☀️ But it is definitely bittersweet in the sense that I’ve built up wonderful relationships with these young people. It’s the biggest privilege to do what I do, and the transition is a little easier now that I can follow their journeys on LinkedIn or through this business account.
So what is in the pipeline for me over the next few weeks? Quite a lot to be honest, but today is all about resting up, fighting off this illness / recuperating from being run down and reflecting on another year living the dream 🫶🏼

I am tutoring this evening and as I haven’t felt at all well today, I wanted to share my final good luck message to all of those sitting A level Chemistry paper 3 tomorrow now!
You have done so well to get to this point! Make sure you get a good rest this evening so you are as mentally sharp as possible for tomorrow! One big final push now, and you’ll be done with exams before you know it ✨

Required practical 10b ✨
With the GCSE paper 2 exam happening right now, it’s time to turn my attention back to the A level and the upcoming paper 3 exam 👀
AQA students, I know that RP10a and 10b were not assessed in the paper 2 exam earlier this week, and I have a strong feeling that one of them (10b I’m thinking) could very well be on Monday’s paper… so here are some key points about the purification of an organic liquid that I would want you to know and understand should such a question come up! Do let me know if any clarification is needed 😊
I’m sure lots of you have Biology this morning, which I hope goes well too! ⭐️

With the second A level Chemistry exam tomorrow morning, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of my tutees, and everyone sitting the exam, the very best of luck.
You will not move mountains in terms of your preparation in the remaining hours, so try and take the time to prioritise your health and well-being so that you are physically and mentally fresh and sharp for the exam ✏️
You can do this 💪🏼

Received this lovely email this morning 🥹 hearing kind words like these really do have a huge impact on me, and I am always so grateful when parents take the time to send such messages 🥰 So looking forward to continuing my journey with this student through her A levels!

PMT predicted papers - AQA Paper 2 ✨
As shared previously, whilst I have worked with PMT in the past, these thoughts and reflections are completely my own.
This morning I finished analysing the AQA Paper 2 paper and my thoughts are summarised in this post. If you've attempted it, what did you think? 🤔 I'm very keen to hear! 🙌🏼
